If your going over a long distance (i.e 10+ M) then the quality of cable makes a difference - but very very little.
#25
As long as the shielding is OK, a cheap one is fine.

nah, if you look at the screen with a magnifying glass close up you can see less flickering on the £75 cable try it out yerself not joking i am serious...
#27
yes but you dont watch the tv right up close using a magnifying glass, or do some people, just to get that tiny bit more clarity?
#28
no, i dont normally watch it that close, but there is less shimmerry efeect with the dearer cable so there must be more 0's and 1's getting through clearer.

You only get what you pay for !

Cheap= rubbish

Dear= sublime quality, why sacrifice when you spend £1200 on a tv and plug in a £1 cable.
#29
I concur with handsomejack. Cheaper cables (not necessarily this one) can struggle and you get a 'sparkly' effect on the screen. Some will struggle if you want to use 1080p as it requires more bandwidth, this I know from experience cos I plumbed one into my home cinema and when PS3 was set to 1080p I kept losing 'handshake' when I changed cable I had no issues.

For £1 of course you cant go wrong really.
#30
sorry for being so negative, £1 is cheap for a cable but i wont be buying one.

Sorry.....
#31
Nipped to my local Sainsburys (Lincoln) to see if I could pick a couple of these up, couldn't find them anywhere, could only see some Ross branded ones and some other one for £4.99 I think, can't remember the brand though
#32

Well, you made me smile. Loved the one about the magnifying glass close up on the screen; I can just imagine people trying that trick !!
