hi all, this is my first deal, so hope its up to scratch!!

best price I have seen for twin dvd players, and Argos also have the 7" venturer with £15 off, making them £109.99 which isnt a bad price either.

I know they are the smaller ones but for less than £50 they are a bargain.

plenty available in Northern Ireland stores, checked a few online

Good luck- Mumto2

Tiny screens, probably not much use for car head rest use, still a good price though.

I have a roof centre mounted 7"screen, and it's fine for the kids. You sit so close to it there's no problem viewing it.

Bigger would be nicer of course, but it is a good price.
I just didn't fancy all the cables with these systems so went for roof mounted instead.

7" yes, but these are 4.5"

I bought this set last time, and the screen are absolutely fine for viewing - good, hardy DVD player which'll do backups, and aside from the screens being a bit chunky, a cracking bit of kit.

I bought one of these last time too. Kids love em - i've got a 7" one which i used to centre mount but they prefer their own screen. Its also got inputs for another AV device and its switchable as to whether its on either screen or both. Means one can watch a movie while the other plays games on one of them 128 game joystick things!

Doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere... tried loads of west mids stores and glasgow area ones...

Where can I pick up one of those "128 game joystick things" I googled it and cant find them.
I bought 7" version of this from www.whatsgoingcheap.com for £68, I think they have these in from time to time, but they are reconditioned ones though.

Cheers

Ok, i'm stupid, that will teach me for replying quickly and not reading properly. Think I just glanced at the 7" in the description, sorry !!!!

4.5 I guess is pretty small, but 7" is fine if you go fo them!
#21
its hard to know until u buy really,we have a bmw compact and the 2 kids r in booster seats so they wont be that wile far away, im sure 4.5" will do the trick!

That looks like the one I bought form Argos last Christmas for £5. Trust me, it's not worth having if someone gave it to you. The games are terrible, and the graphics....well, the less said the better.
Yes it's cheap, but it just isn't worth bothering with. Mine will end up in the bin soon, bought it for the kids when they get a little older, but won't bother holding on to it.
From past experience Commodore 64 games are much better, I would get one of the C64 joystick things if you want something like this.
#23
I've reserved one of these to collect today from Mold in North Wales, but I've changed my mind and decided to wait and get a couple of 7" singles (ah, that takes me back!) instead as the kids would never want to watch the same thing anyway.

So, if anybody wants the reservation number I can let them have it.

i decided to take the 3 year warranty at £11.99 which i never opt for but thought this would be sensible seeing it is in the car and is a dvd player, works out at less than £4 a yr and if it cant be fixed argos giv u the vouchers instead, or new one,
#29
If you guys are looking for the 7" ones then These and they play DivX files.

I take it they come with some sort of attachment to fit onto the headrest?
#34
yep, they have two , one is like a huge elastic band that holds it in place and the second is a strap with good strong velcro that you pull tight, very secure. (these are the 4.5 inch ones out of argos.)
#35
Thanks, I guessed that. I'm hoping they all use a similar fixing device, they usually do.
#36
the one thing i would say is the leads are a bit all over the place, i must try and maybe secure them to the seats a bit better say black tape or something like, my 18mth old son woz having a chew on one when i looked round this evening , he had reached down and pulled it to him, could think of better things for teething !!
#37
I won't have that problem, this is for an ex gym reconditioned cross trainer, it should keep me entertained for the hour I'm on this thing. It will never leave the house.
#38
oh, thats a good idea for them, plenty of uses really if people think about it, good luck with the training, Tracy
#39
A few questions please :

1. Where can we get a mains 12V plug to fit the player for indoor use ?

2. Is there a way to mod the screens to use them as monitors for other devices without connecting to the dvd player ?

3. Multi region code ?

Thanks.
