Here we go again stupid people voting when they don't know anything about the item, If your going to vote something cold at least explain why. I know you can get cheap DL discs like the Aones that are fine for 360 backup for £3 but Verbs are around the £10 mark and are the best, so at this price with free P&P they are cheap so i will vote this hot even though i personally wouldn't buy them any more there still the best and most expensive.
#2
As you say, cheaper discs out there but a good price for these particular Verbatim.
#3
are they still the best even though most single layer i have seen in shops are made in india? (not looked at dual layer much)
#4

I aint voting either way. However i could get PROPER Verbatim disc cheaper on ebay which are made in Singapore. I paid £7.85 from one of the powersellers (there are two that i use), who ships free same day 1st class recorded. Where as the discs Amazon sells are Indian made and not in the same class as Singpore manufactured Verbs. In fact, you could say that Aone discs are superior to these that Amazon sell.

I can also vouch for Babz, excellent service.

I always get these from Play for 9.49 and have never had any problems. Not sure where they are made though.

Quite simply becuase thats what Amazon, along with 99% of other retailers sell. Just have to check out forum boards, including this one when this 'deal' is posted on an almost monthly basis. The only way you can now realistically get Singapore Verbs is if the seller states so.

@tom_p1980 : it states where they were manufactured on the side of the spindle.

I also buy mine from babz_s on eBay, fantastic service alaround
#17
Wait, xbox360... backups? I love it that people are still callin' it that :D
#18
I use the AOnePlus and they never let me down. 25 discs for under £10 means no more verbatim ever.
#19
Also used babz on ebay.. discs usually arrive within 2 days and free postage.. will be sticking with him but this is still a great price for these discs if they are the Singapore ones. (babz are)
#20
yep, babz_s - cant go wrong with that guy ;)

they've lowered the price also - £7.75 now ! so cheaper than amazon and you usually get the stuff next day (free p&p) - not 5 days like amazon

item number 170387349290

I have just looked at 2 spindles I have and there are no manufacturer's details on either.

Aone FTW =D

My data isn't important enough for Verbatim.

I've found the Indian Verbs to be just fine these days. I know you probably won't agree but I'd say they got their act together and now make discs as good as the Singapore factory did.
#25
IMO the drive you use to write to dual layers has a lot to do with the coaster ratio

People still burn games on discs for 360??
JTAG ftw ;-)

some of us are not actually banned on Live yet, so no point for JTAG.
#29
indian made verbs have come along way with there QC, only in early days the QC wasnt up to scratch, any verb DL is far better than other DL's,,, having said that, that dosnt mean all the cheapo ones out there are garbage!

optical drive and up2 date FW is probably more a coaster factor than anything but your far less likely to recieve a bad batch if your buying verbs!

good find and a good price, heat added but ill stick to the ebay sellers already mentioned
