THis is a good price, cheapest I found was 9.99 on ebay. This is providing they are real and not cheap imports ;) Heat added.

The last lot of dual layer discs I bought cost me £3.20 for 10 (a-one full face).

Also a local shop has a 10pk for £6.75 and a 25pk for £9.99.

Maybe if you're desperate for verbatims.

No, as I implied - this price would be ok if you were insistant on verbatims.

They're the only disc that don't give you coasters imho, so it's a fab price!

Nope, Aone's are the daddy now ;)

About £3.50 for 10 and just as good as verbs.

I have about 90 burned without a single problem :w00t:

This is a good price for verbs. Plan maths of it is the reflectivity of the disks not whether they 'work or not'. Originals are like a mirror, backups not so mirror like.. At the end of the day if you use Aone disks all day every day then the life of your laser will dramatically decrease.

Think of it like buying cheap no name batteries... they'll work but they won't last as long as Duracell.

Ok, so how do I know this? Well let's just say I repair and replace a lot of Xbox dvd-roms for people and the majority of them are using said cheap media. It is up to the user though so flame away.

Verbs all the way (best to get the 'Made in Singapore' ones - you can tell by looking on the packaging .. cream disk = made in india (good), white disk = made in Singapore (best).

Another cheap alternative that are better then Aone but not as good as verbs are 'Ritek/Arita' with the G05 dye. There are quite cheap at www.ossettmedia.co.uk and www.buytech.co.uk (out of stock though).

Edit: Maplins had 25 verbs for £20 for the last month.. seems they finished this offer last week :(

one way to solve the problem of your laser 'life decreasing' would be to stick them on your hdd. That way the laser only reads the disc for about 5 seconds then reads it off the hdd. Eliminates the need for high quality media. simple.

also means that before you play a game you have to wait 10 minutes for it to copy and have space on your hd, if you like playing different games all the time (quick go on fifa then onto something else etc) you would have to buy more hd space...

or just get verb disks and play what you want without having to wait

yup you have a point there... but i usually only play like 6/7 games at a time... a 60gb hdd should be enough to back up about 9 games i reckon. You can always delete the ones you get tired off. I guess it all comes down to how much you want to spend/the effort your willing to put in.

voted cold - though i like the deal...

only because i have bad experience with amazon delivery service...i always buy them from one guy on ebay for 9.99 - legit verbs with next day delivery if bough early enough...ordered about 50 of them already - no coasters ;) good find though

I used them last week, £10.58 for 10 verbatim's. Found them a very good company especially as they duplicated my order but only charged me once.:whistling:
