Nice deal, but I haven't seen anyone sell 10 for £24.99, that would be crazy :p
#2
hot deal - shame they're not printable though :(
#3
Heat and Rep added. Great find for these discs. For my own use, I use cheaper because I don't need the quality, but for some films I would definitely use these.

Although this is a good spot, I prefer to use Arita Full face printable the last lot i bought were £12 for 25, excellent for backing up the games I own ;-) for a certain games console with an X in its name.

good deal no?

edit: good deal btw!! :) hnr!

Worth it if you want to archive something for longer than a year or so. Some mid-range dual layers I burnt a couple of years ago are unreadable in all of my DVD drives now.
#13
dual layers are still expensive but afaik this is cheap for DL Verbs.
#14
The aones are brilliant, much better value than the verbs. They work perfect with the xbox 360. I get mine from ebuyer.
#15
Hot - This is a good price, there are cheaper brands, but Verbatim is the standard when it comes to DL.

Aones are good, but not perfect compared to Verbatim, in my experience.
#16
Really good discs
#17
Thanks bought 6 packs total £112 [ £109 ] if quidco tracks / validates and pays.

linky no longer works; - goes to Duracell Batteries..

Doing a search the only 25 pack is this one:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=344836

These are only £19.99 but I fear they are not the same quality?

Described as a 'Pearl White finish'

Must be the same, the product features section exactly matches that in the original post.

Where you get you aritas from m8

Good find.. Ordered 1 pack to make sure they are compatible then will order some more.

ive used a-ones for a year now, over 500 burns no issues (some had a few small scratches on so got put in the personal pile), always used pioneer 216DBK, sata drives, first lasted near 300 burns, second is on just over 200, 3rd sat in cupboard for when its needed, (the 300 burns one has retired to be just a dvd video burner now)

This is a good price for verbs but i really have had no need to use them, aones do the trick. now i have a supplier £28 for 100 printables :w00t::-D

I'm thinking peoples issues with pioneers and aones must be a minority, but may also be something to do with the SATA chipset they have it plugged into..

Aones are the only brand I've ever used and am yet to have a coster! A1 indeed! Very cheap for full face printable DL's, I use a Pioneer so you probably need to update the firmware as I said never had a coaster 100% faultless

Just phoned my mate who makes a lot of money from selling burned discs, he reckone the Aones sound reprints and says to avoid totally.

He says Verbs are A++++ and at under £1 a piece are not to be missed.

BUT, £33p a disk for those Aones is tempting, and I get free shipping as I've been an Avforums member for donkies.

I agree with you Aones are great dual layers.

The Aone discs do produce a lot of coasters on a fair few DVDrewriters....
Would get some but wary of compatibilty problem.

Verbatims are good quality discs, and compatible with a lot more rewriters.
#34
Please note that these discs will be ok, but are not the top quality brand. Proper high quality verbs are manufactured in Singapore. 2nd best are those made in Taiwan. Those made in India (Moser Bayer) are of a very poor quality and need to be avoided completely. PS As far as i am aware Singapore Verbatims only come in 10 pack spindels and not in 25 disc packs.

Its still a good price (assuming they are Taiwanesse made). But dont be fooled into thinking they are the 'real deal'. If you want top quality Verbs then your best bet is ebay (and for not too much extra).

Another spanner in the works then!
#38
Thought id add this is good price, as others have said shame there not printable.

On the subject of Aone's, between me and my friend we have probably flashed 30-40 xbox's, and bought well over 1500 discs about 3-400 of them verbs the rest aone's.

Aone's don't work in all xbox's in our experience, if you have a lite-on drive you should be fine, on the earlier drives they tend to be a bit hit and miss (more hit than miss but thought it worth mentioning)

Never had a coaster from verbs, but had about 3 packs (30 discs) of coaster aones. Managed to get them replaced by the seller though....

:)
#39
I'l bet my left knacker these are made in india verbs and are not that good!

Better than most discs but not fantastic :)
#40
Dont get me wrong ... im still popping into Maplins tommorow to see if they are Taiwanesse (the last two 10packs i bought at Maplins were). But if they are Indian then im walking out empty handed. Still, lets be optimistic. :-D

... As for people stating they use non-verbatim X brand and havnt had any problems regarding their xbox 360 'backups' ... the point is not so much whether they work, but the increased strain non-verbs are known to put on the 360s laser.
