Looks like the DVD-R's are back (again!), but now instead of half price they're down to a third of the price. So even better than normal.

Picked up a couple of packs at Sainsbury's Pride Park, still had a shelf full though.

Thanks, will have a look. Though I still haven't managed to find a Verbatim deal at my local store.

Good deal if you can grab one.
Does UK create one of these regardless of the brand? No, UK doesn't. Taiwanese/Malaysian are better than British in terms of technology as well as food.

I had some of these when they were £7.50 for 50 and a bargain they was then but I still have around 200 disks left yet, I just wish they did full face printables.

And yes, they might be Taiwan, or Malaysian, or some other place that has no real business making DVD-R's because they eat food that we would probably treat to a can of Raid rather than a pair of chopsticks, but they're still pretty reliable."

You've bought some and are happy with the product. No need for any other comments.

Does anybody know whether the verbatim dvd+r are on sale at sainsburys too???

I think you misunderstand the intent.

Matt, they don't seem to carry the 50 packs at Lancaster, but they do at the newer Morecambe store if that helps.

The country comment was based on the people who question the source of these DVD-R's and was intended to be lighthearted, it wasn't meant to offend. These threads normally end up with people discussing the pro's and cons of where they are manufactured.

Apologies to those who took it the wrong way, my bad. Looks like it's already been edited though.

£7.50 was a good price, £5.00 is a steal! Hot.
Good discs too, never had one fail.
#15
7.50 is cheap (I got some a few weeks ago) but 5.00 is outstanding. I'll be stocking up . . .
Country of origin for these Verbs seems irrelevant; their quility control seems to be universally good.

Great deal. After having problems with other brands, I wouldn't use any other make than Verbatim. Super reliable.

Don't buy! Save oil! Buy flash memory.

Cold!
