Dont worry, or start thinking / researching about it. All Verbatim media is about as good as media gets, doesn't matter if they are made in Taiwan, China or Willy Wonka's Factory, if you need some, buy some.

Bought one pack, all I needed - thanks

any printable ones going cheap anyone know ?
#15
I'd prefer printable too, but these'll do at the price.

These were the best by miles! Unfortunately these are no longer available as Taio Yuden have agreed with JVC that their discs will only be sold in retail outlets in upto 50 packs under the JVC brand. However if you do see JVC branded discs beware because previously JVC branded discs were c**p.
#17
Is there an echo in here?

dont forget to go through quidco for 26p off reserve and collect!

verbatim do make good discs and the price is good for them.

I tend to use the Sainsburys own brand, 100 for £11 when on offer
used about 600 and not many duff ones. Looks like ritek dye but made by
Info Source Multi Media Ltd. (I use these for work production)

Thanks for that info; i wasn't aware of their deal with JVC. I did find 100packs of the JVC Taiyo Yudens though but i don't know if they will be continuing:

Got mine through and they are made in india. Should be ok but not as good as the taiwan ones. Mitsubishi chemical company have or had a factory in singapore which was their own factory I believe which is meant to be the highest quality but now they are outsourcing their production to other companies. All of them use the very high quality mitsubishi dye but the actually manufacturing process varies in quality. It varies from batch to batch though.

JVC Media is owned by Taiyo Yuden now so they represent they highest quality blanks as long as you don't get older non taiyo yuden discs.

MCC and Taiyo Yuden are the best discs currently available both have a long archival life (single layer).

Warning with taiyo yuden there are tons of fake versions. Best to buy the JVC branded version from a reputable seller.

What a ridiculously ignorant comment! Like most DVD/CD suppliers Verbatim just rebadge discs. They are not all good please do not spread misinformation.

Some of the India stuff is OK, but you don't know until you get home and can check the mfr ID code.
The MBI coded is the worst, and that has been sold under TDK and Verbatim brands..
