I think you've worded the title oddly as you suggest it can record freeview HD while it only has a normal freeview tuner (dvb-t) but can play back files up to 1080i from other sources (as far as I can tell).

Can the built-in Freeview Tuner process HD broadcasts? It's not very clear.

Other than that it looks quite good?

Looks like a great bit of kit, and big storage for the money, but if I'm not mistaken only has one tuner, means you can't watch one channel whilst recording another.
I shall watch this post with interest.

I have amended the description. If anyone can find out why the factsheet has the freeview HD logo, let us know !

Well it isn't the official one. I think they just put the freeview logo and the hd logo in the same block.

No broadcasted Tv is in 1080p anyway. Not sky-hd, nor freeview HD. If you know a better freeview recorded for the money, please let us know !

It doesn't do Freeview HD ... just HD file playback. As always with these type of devices they try to make them sound better than they are with confusing letters/descriptions. And Freeview HD is broadcast in 1080i for those who were wondering.

Looks interesting. Unfortunately the mention of the noisy fan puts me off. My Hummy 9200 has always driven me mad 'cause of it. I'll wait for more feedback.
