i know a deal was posted for everyday paper concerning kodak at svp

but bearing in mind all the digital camera offers being posted at the moment, christmas and the new year are coming up and this great deal on the top quality paper at knock down prices, i thought it rude not to post.

Kodak Ultima Photo Paper Ultra Glossy 10 x 15cm Pack of 60 Sheets £3.06

Kodak Premium Photo Paper Ultra Glossy 10 x 15cm Pack of 25 sheets £1.26

and once the £2.00 off any order over £20 code is added (posted elsewhere on the board by randall1uk) xmascheer

you can actualy get 7 packs of kodaks best 10 x 15 cm ultima paper ( 60 sheet packs) plus next day delivery for £25.84)

this works out at 6 pence per sheet give or take .1 of a p

obviously getting the 12 pack counter deal which comes to £37.45 with next day delivery , brings the price down to 5.2 pence per sheet.

I'm afraid I have to beg to differ on your description of "top quality paper" !

This stuff fades faster than any other branded photo paper I have ever used. There was a big paper review some years ago in one of the PC mags, and they agreed, but even at that stage, I'd stopped using it.

Sorry !

dont need to be sorry mate, if it is your experience it differs to mine, i have used it for 3 years now, the photos i had done 3 years ago still look great and like ANY photos, if they are placed in direct sun light or too close to a heat source, they will fade or distort.

add to that, the quality of the camera the photo is taken with, the software, the actual quality of the printer you are using and the ink inside the printer, it will make a vast difference to the results.

i have been using a epson r300 for 3 years and as i say, have had no problems with that ( and used epson inks).

i also save all my photos onto hard drive and dvdwr, so if one gets damaged or fades ( not happened yet!) i can reprint it.

I agree with you brum..fading is more down to ink quality than the paper...Kodak paper seems to be on offer on many websites at present and is a real bargain.
