FREE lifetime membership – No subscriptions, no minimum orders
Just £12.99 per game – Save a massive £25–£35 on web/high street prices
All games delivered on day of release – No waiting lists
All games brand new, boxed and sealed official releases – No copies, no rental style packaging
After 4 weeks, choose to keep the game
or return it with nothing more to pay – Additional £27.00 to keep the game for a total of £39.99

Seems to good to be true, my question is, if you send the game back after 4 weeks, its not a SEALED new copy for them to send to anyone else, and how are they able to make profit at £12.99?
Anyone used them?

You're likely to get a better offer trading the game in, especially in the first 2 weeks.

Ok if you like to try before you buy. IMO I'd hunt around on gamestracker and buy at the best price. Most of my games I pay for are around £24-£28 so the extra £27 seems a rip. And how many games can you honestly complete in 4 weeks if you were trying to send back before playing full price!

You MUST return it to them after 4 weeks, OR pay £27 to keep it.
Their not gonna give you a game for £12.99, n let you do what you want with it!

Chances are after four weeks of release, most of the latest games are going to be atleast £25 anyway. So they arent really loosing out they could just sell 2nd hand.

sounds a daft concept to me

can get most if not all games for cheaper than £39.99 and you arent going to lose £13 on resale in 4 weeks!

No, no, he knows that. What he's saying is that if you finish a game in 4 weeks and then trade it in you're likely to be able to trade it in for less than £12 less than you bought it for, therefore you're better off doing that - and then you don't get stung for £40 for a keeping a game that you could pick up for £30.

Ridiculous

There is no deal to be had here, super cold, feel sorry for anyone who can't see it for what it really is

Lovefilm is about £15 a month for 2-3 games...

The title of this alleged deal is acting like this is some sort of major revolution in game pricing that will shake up the whole industry. It's £12.99 for a four week rental. I'll give that a miss then.
#11
If you look at it as renting a game for a month at 12.99 it is not a bad offer when you consider blockbuster charge 7.99 for a week. You might be slightly better off with a online rental for games such as lovefilm but you would have to wait a bit for new releases.

However given the current trend for games to drop through the floor post release like dead space 2 is now about 25 pounds it can just be worth waiting a bit before buying.

make this deal the coldest place on earth!
#13
If you play a lot games and are disciplined enough to ensure you return them in time I think it seems a good deal. The big plus here is that it claims to guarantee that you will get the latest titles on the day of release (I don't rent games but I'd be surprised if Choices/LoveFilm etc can or do do that).

Eh?? I voted HOT and the deal got COLDER!! oO (from minus 188 deg. to minus 218!

Be the lag in other people voting cold!

I voted hot and the deal got colder too. This deal (a 4 week rental for £12.99) beats Blockbuster and also beats Lovefilm as you are not guaranteed a day of release game with Lovefilm (though they sometimes do deliver). The target market of this deal are ultra gamers who must buy the latest release which are often £40+ now on the high street.
#18
It got colder because other people have voted since you loaded the page, all its done is bring up the latest score.

A better deal would be to buy the game on the day of release and sell to Cex online that same day, you then try out the game for 10 days and then if you wish send it in to Cex to get majority if not all your money back

It updates when you vote, so whilst you were voting hot, other people were voting cold.

I voted cold, 'cause this is a terrible idea.

I reckon they are counting on people forgetting to send it back, can't be bothered etc. You would have to be pretty disciplined. Also, I assume they automatically debit your card if you haven't returned it in time. Scope for lots of aggro over post times, late delivery imo. Much better to do as suggested and buy it as cheap as you can on release and then trade-in.
#22
This is the kind of idea I would like to see on Dragon's Den, to see the **** who thought it out cry himself back down the stairs.
#23
title is misleading
#24
Still think it's a good deal (if you exploit it to the max that is),

-501 and counting, the people have spoken

Cold, very misleading title!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!
Purchased 4 games before christmas and only received one, ignored all emails and telephone calls go straight to answerphone (try there sales line).
Why would a reputable company leave calls to answerphone ?
Be Careful .....

Yes paid on Visa Debit, was messed about for 7 weeks.
Told them via email i would go through Visa for a refund - no reply.
Left voice mails - never replied.
Eventually got there attention when an automated message came through to review the games i purchased.
Which i happily stated my opinion on the dogsh*t company rather than the game.
Never again...
