Any free delivery codes valid? Something I want is half price down to £4 and postage is £3.95 so erases the sale price.

Good call. £1 more expensive but still cheaper. Thanks!
#12
thanks mate but i would keep away from very.co.uk - they took a whole month to deliver a simple phone... they extended delivery date 2-3 times ....
#13
OMG another unnecessary trainers :w00t: HOT
#14
Just got an email from Additions direct, XV240 gives free delivery over £25 spend, valid until 7/6/10. Haven't tried it yet, so don't know if it's account specific. Worth a try.

Just ordered the superdry bag for £17 delivered.
Heat added - thanks :)

Recently returned an item (pulse mini) because I was unhappy with it. They refunded the cost, but failed to refund the delivery charge.

When I spoke to them they said that they weren't going to refund the charge as the product wasn't faulty, even though I stated the Distance Selling Regulations to them, which requires them to refund the full amount which includes this postage cost. I've sent off an email to Head Office, as I think it's unacceptable for a company not to abide by these regulations

Do you have to open a credit account with very?

Yeah - just don't use it.

They're a horrendous company. Send me out statements just about every month informing me that I owe them nothing, but I could spend £1100 and not have to pay it back for a year. They're desperate for you to use that account. I feel sorry for the less educated that use them and pay an extortionate amount of interest.
#28
Interest is 9.9% on my Very account which is very reasonable IMO

Not as bad as I thought tbf. I'm sure on my statements its about 23%! Not something I would ever use though. Particularly on something like the products they sell on their website. Their higher priced stuff tends to be extortionate (such as electrical stuff) so I wouldn't buy them anyway.

No you don't...
Just click underneath on pay by credit/debit card. its not very obvious sneakly!

customer service is awful.... the site says in stock or with 7 days and then in the confirmation email.... states awaiting stock. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
#33
Payment page just hangs, tried in Chrome and Firefox.

Oh well, Ive saved myself some money anyway as I didn't NEED those trainers!
#34
Thanks OP my orders just arrived all £900 worth LOL

re: the £30 off voucher - they seem to charge you the full amount, then pay the £30 back into your account before they dispatch the items? confusing to say the least... makes me a bit wary tbh

That's just choosing the method of payment. I think each account. I think you'll find if you look on your account they will have still opened a credit account for you.

I think it's something to do with a lot of the stuff you buy on their website goes through to distributors. That's why the postage times often seem to take a while - it's stuff that is not coming directly from them.

You're right to be wary though - as I said, they're a horrible company IMO. Seems a bit weird to me having additions direct, Very & littlewoods all under the same wing with identical websites. Can't really understand why they would do that?

interest rate on a credit account is 39.7%

My point exactly!

Should be illegal IMO.
