Seriously, why do some people always make that error?
Almost bought this the other day, however decided against it going off some of the reviews. Instead I went for a slighly more expensive one with a 4 1/2 star rating. You cant be robbed at this price though, have some heat. :)
VGA cables aren't like HDMI cables - you do need a decent quality cable if you want a decent picture. I bought a 24" LCD monitor which came with a cheap 'n' cheerful monitor cable but the quality was awful - I swapped it out for a decent quality cable and the difference in image quality was astounding!
Thanks ordered! And actually need a second on of these
A very poor quality cable, which does matter for analog. And outdated technology, everything today uses HDMI. Not really useful
Cheap HDMI cables = fine. Cheap VGA = terrible.
I've bought ones before that were cheap but had good reviews, and the quality was horrible. Ghosting and blurred image. The ones you always get in the box (the blue end ones) always give the best quality for me so cold, sorry.
when i add it to my basket it seems to go up to £1.65?
AVOID!!!!! see my amazon review

How many people actually use these things any longer?

I have an old laptop I use to hooking to a big TV. Seems to be the easiest, most cot effective way to get the display on the bigger screen. I've been using the svga which came with an old 15" dell monitor I have lying around but I've been looking at trading it in in the dell recycle scheme to get money off a new display. If this lead is rubbish i'll just ship it off with the dell monitor and keep the good one. :)

Yea it's quite common to get ghosting or blurring on cheap vga cables.

I do.

Main monitor = DVI
Secondary monitor = VGA

Girlfriend still uses VGA on the rare occasion she wants to connect her laptop up to the TV.

But a few people have already mentioned, cheapo analog (which VGA is - see also, SCART) cables are more prone to problems than cheapo digital ones. Bad internal shielding will result in crosstalk, ghosting, blur ... etc etc. The one I have is a decent one so I'm sticking with it!
I think the problem is that those who have the older tech that uses them will already have the cables, and anyone buying new stuff won't need them
Can't see it at this price.... OOS?
Amazing price when you consider a 1st class stamp is now 60p!

Although, just because it's cheap it doesn't mean it's worth buying.

Reading the reviews this looks like a crappy quality cable that should be avoided even at this price. As it's an analogue cable, the quality of the cable does make a difference to the quality of the picture. So you'd be better off spending a bit more and buying a decent cable.
