Amazing! My son was just asking about one yesterday! Although they have a few different models, this one seems the best value for money.
#2
Ordered, heat and rep added!

any ideas what the multi-purpose hook is for?
#4
Quick question I notice it says keyring so if being pulled over by a cop , can they take this away from you?
#5
are these illegal to carry in uk? it's the sort of thing i'd like to attach to my car keys and just carry everywhere...

Good deal. Just remember not to have it on you if you are flying anywhere.

You would have to be an overly confident terrorist to hijack a plane with one of these. However there are thousands of Swiss army knives in bins at airport security which I guess is good business for Victorinox.

This is true, one of the comments on Amazon was from someone who was buying his third one after having the first two confiscated at the airport!

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation have a insightful document about pocket knifes:

http://www.basc.org.uk/download.cfm/docid/F7CE90DC-2C86-44C5-97ED46C927D34652

British Association for Shooting and Conservation
It is now ILLEGAL to have any sharply pointed or bladed instrument in your possession, in a
public place without good reason or lawful authority. (See below RE: folding pocket knives)

British Association for Shooting and Conservation
There is an exemption in law for folding pocket knives. These must have cutting edges of less than
three inches and blades which do not lock. However when pocket knives of this type are carried
for example in a nightclub, at a school or to a football match they are likely to be viewed as
offensive weapons even though the actual knife isn’t an offensive weapon in itself.

Think so, to be legal the blade has got to be less than 3 inches long and non-locking so this compies on both counts

by the way the huntsman is selling on 7dayshop.com for only 99p more but showing stock on order

I've got a similar model and it measure 6cm, under 3 inches so it should be fine however use common sense with these, a knife has no place at a football match, in a pub, nightclub or school and becomes an offensive weapon in these circumstances in just the same way as a screwdriver. Just saying...

Totally legal to carry in the UK in your pocket if you are over 18, used to be 16... I have retailed Swiss Army and Mag products for 16 years...
