It's still VERY cheap, for this knife, instead of voting cold, you toddle off and find me one cheaper...

Sorry, but I cant endorse any knife deals being posted on here at the moment, as far as I'm concerned any new knife bought now is just another one out there for someone to misuse.

I agree, don't like the idea of promoting knives on this site - don't care how good a deal it is - voted ice cold

Voted hot, good price for this equipment. This country is far too PC for it's own good sometimes. There are much more important things to worry about than someone posting a good deal about a 3inch blade that is perfectly legal. If someone want's to use a knife in a wreckless way then it will happen regardless of this post. Now please can everyone get on, this isn't a slanging match. :)

I always have a Victorinox penknife in the glove compartment of my car.........not so much for the blade part, although that does get it's share of use, but because of all the other handy gadgets that come with it. This one is £24.99 on Amazon, so it's a good deal - I'm disappointed that this thread has turned into a moral judgement on the OP, the site is about deals and this is a good one.

Voted hot and rep left

Removed off-topic posts, personal attacks, and those quoting them. Any further breaches of the forum code of conduct will result in a ban.

I've updated the post to include the delivery charge, which we always try to show here.

In fact I'm going to buy one - and give it to one of my kids - so there!!

If anyone wants to debate what is and what is not acceptable on HUKD, please start a thread in the comments forum. Any more such posts in this thread will be removed.

HUKD promoting knives?!

That's insane.

In the right hands, this is a very handy tool going for a song.

Anyway, my father is a keen fisherman and he would love this for his birthday.

Voted hot on principle.

Why on earth is any knife legal to carry around? (Camping holidays aside..)

Yes good tool, and now good post as it's been updated with postage.

To me a swiss army knife is a multi-tool not a knife, to be honest no one slated the kitchen knife sets in locking blocks at argos, the majority of knifes are designed with the purpose of being a tool whether for diy, garden kitchen or whatever, ive always carried a swiss army knife wherever i go and it has come in handy countless times, for countless reasons.

Especially for opening cheap beer that you were alerted to because of HUKD using a voucher on HUKD.

With a bee sting you are supposed to slice off so as not to burst the "sac" of poison so in summer thats always a consideration as i dont wish to gamble whether my kids suffer from severe allergic shocks to them, but its as a tool that these come into their own.

Totally agree. Voted Hot deal.

This is a really useful TOOL.

Anything can be a weapon in the wrong hands. A car is far more dangerous than a Swiss Army knife!
#20
Slightly off topic but does anyone reading this know of a decent kind of knife sharpener. tried the hand held V notch ones and they were rubbish
#21
this knife is good, it is the original one actually given to the swiss army.
but if you are after a general SAK you would be better to go for one like the mountaineer. they have a few extra things on it.

Totally agree, I often carry the smallest Leatherman (Leatherman Micra) in my pocket which is a multi-tool (with knife, scissors etc.) - amazingly handy and has proved indispensable on countless occassions :)

Not sure the police really approve of people carrying anything that could be considered a dangerous weapon, but since I'm not in the habit of behaving stupid enough to get arrested I don't tend to worry about it! :-D

yeah £14.94 once you add the postage

Thanks to OP, just bought 2, one for myself and one for my brother for Christmas

Dont' forget the 2% cashback by using Quidco too...

Every little helps!.. :giggle:
#26
To the guy who wanted a sharpener?

Spyderco Sharpmaker. They work well with the edges on SAK too.

This is a great price for a great knife. Thank you. I have one already but might get another now.

And knives are tools not weapons. I pity the people who had the knee jerk reactions to it being posted, presumably you'll react the same with all other posts for tools? Hammers? Drills? Screwdrivers?

Voted hot.

You're lucky then, evolution must have missed you out and left you with sharpened teeth and claws... :whistling:

Nice deal. I had a good chuckle at the posts suggesting HUKD shouldn't be promoting 'killer' penknives. If it was a set of kitchen knives on here and no-one would say anything.
#29
Thanks OP - I might nab one for my dad - his trusty old one has a few scratches and the odd dab of paint on it :)

Sorry, but I cant endorse any knife deals being posted on here at the moment, as far as I'm concerned any new knife bought now is just another one out there for someone to misuse.

I'm sorry, but I just totally do not agree - for a start - these kind of knives are rarely the sort used for unsavory activities, secondly - do you really think someone hellbent on using a knife for crime is going to be that bothered in saving a few quid? - They are probably going to want it quick fast, and might just even nick it!

The only people I know who use penknives are my father and older brother - my dad literally carries his everywhere - has come in very useful over the years on many occasions!

Spyderco sharpmaker. Easy to use, two pre-set angles and can be used for Scandi flat grinds too.

Go very well with SAK too.

These knives can't lock out hence why I sliced my finger to the bone when it snapped shut, I still bare the scar 10 years on
