480x234... poor resolution. Enjoy your blocky images Cannie Buyer. Had one at these with same res, they're rubbish. If you think the picture looks anything like the one in edi's large image, think again. The insect will be represented by 4 pixels blocks. :-D

I always say you get what you pay for but wih electronics being so cheap now I recon this is worth a punt for 30 quid.

I has some nice and simple features and the spec looks ok.

If anyone has one of these then a little review/comment would be appreciated.

Voted Hot

Most digital photo frames have this resolution until you start to spend £60 +.

IMO it all depends on your expectations.

I expect to recognise people in the photos I upload to one of these. Anything less than 640x480 is a waste of time. They start around £50 actually, but if you want to take the risk, be my guest. As you said, you get what u pay for.

You have a problem with people informing others that they shouldnt buy a turd disguised as a photo frame? When you receive yours THEN feel free to comment. Before then, you opinion is pointless. For the rest of us who have fallen into the cheap photo frames trap, we know that this resolution is useless. I mean, come on... digital camera's are up to 10 MP now. Do you realise how much down scaling it has to do to fit 480x234!

Muahahahaaaa! You get what you pay for indeed. These 480's x 234's suck in a major way. I've not seen a good one yet! My 2 inch mobile phone screen has a higher resolution.

Frostier than a polar bears wotsits.

Sorry - but buyers do need to be aware that £30 for a 16:9 480x234 resolution display is not money well spent. Unless your camera takes 16:9 format images or you are prepared to crop all the images you put on the unit your pictures will be displayed in a 351x234 section of the screen or the unit will 'randomly' crop and resize the images to fit the display.

That said it's cheap and has a resaonable set of features for the price (especially the long transition speed which is missing on lots of frames) - and I agree it looks good :)

Yes, a BIG hug by the sounds of it.

I'm looking for one for my mother for Christmas so I value most informative constructive comments and opinions as there are so many on the market which can get a little confussing. This does appear to be a good starter model especially for people, like my mother, who woundn't notice the difference between any type. The only thing she'll be concerened about would be how pretty the frame is.:-D

I noticed ebuyer have a good select of frames

The Resolution is too low: 480 x 234 pixels. vote cold. Suggest to buy a higher resolution one (800-x-480) at
