I have the 32GB version of this card which has saved me a lot of grief when trying to get images from older DSLRs on to a laptop so I can review them and check focus, which I used to achieve by "tethering" (using a cable), but tethering (some older cameras) is no longer supported by newer operating systems. Using this card lets me download to a Win 7 laptop, and not having to connect any leads also makes things a little easier. It may not have all the features of tethering or boast super fast transfer speeds, but for me the FlashAir has been a life saver, extending the life/usefulness of my aging DSLRs.
Great little card, not the fastest though.
Toshiba sent me the 16gb to review last year. My mams camera is well old, so now she has this it links to her tablet so she can view or download all her pictures.

This is ok for older cameras but most newer(last 7 years?) cameras will have wifey builtin, otherwise its quite expensive for the size and Class ?? I actually have an older camera that could do with this , but I went out and bought a new camera instead, as Digicams have come on in leaps and bounds over the last twelve years. Also this has no rgb lighting options, so on that Basis, I'm out.

If only I'd checked the NEW camera I just bought! I could have saved myself £19,what a fool.. Hang on, I did check beforehand and the one I bought, the #1 bestselling compact camera on Amazon, doesn't have WiFi, and this makes the package cheaper than an equivalent WiFi camera.. Phew, good job one of us checks our facts isn't it..

With the eye-fi I could set it to upload to my phone /laptop & cloud at the same time whilst on the go.
Do new cameras allow upload on the go as these cards do without having to manually transfer them ?
This seems to be a tool to do that http://dotnet.work/2016/05/flashairdownloader-2/ I've not tried it, I bought one of these ages ago because of the likelihood of losing the support but they're a pain to download from when they first came out.
I've got a relatively modern EyeFi card that was made obsolete, but they released a utility to work locally and download on these obsolete cards, it works on X2 and later cards, it doesn't work on my older EyeFi cards but the rebadged Sandisk 8GB card does work very well with the utility. So for the moment I'm still working with my old EyeFi card.
mike
Thanks for the info, I will look into it as I have the X2 pro but I think I will also investigate how these new cameras work with wifi as my Canon G9 is feeling a bit dated and I tend to use my phone more these days but would like to go back to an SLR.
Here's a link to the official Eye-Fi desktop software, which allows local (non-cloud) setup & use of the X2 cards:http://x2migration.eyefi.com/hc/en-us/sections/205209907-NEW-Eye-Fi-X2-Utility
Thanks for the link. It first said my card was incompatible and took several attempts but it seems to be working now.

Would this solve my dreadful virginmedia superhub 2 WiFi drops and and improve coverage throughout the house?
I ordered this product on Amazon a month back at around £70 in hope it would solve my issues with drop outs.
I live in a victorian terrace and unfortunately it made little difference....

If you have issues with WiFi in a big and/or old house, and you don't want to run Ethernet under your floorboards, then powerline with WiFi is the best solution I have found. I use the Devolo dLAN 120, but there are other brands, some cheaper. The investment is worth it to save all the headaches from poor wifi and buffering from streaming from my server to my TV room

Have the latest netgear 2000mbps mimo plugs and unfortunately even in the same location as the AP (maybe 40meters away from router) I got only 60mbps....
Got a call to say my order has been cancelled as they have been "discontinued" :(
OOS on the 2nd link but the main link still works?

Edited By: GoNz017 on Dec 24, 2016 09:29
Ultimately you need to get Ethernet cables routed to the weak areas of a house. Only reliable solution. Then use some unifi AP's. V impressed with them so far
Linksys? No thanks I'd rather run around with cables

I have the original version that is 9 years old and paper is still easily available.

exactly, and you can get really good deals on paper online.

I have both printers and even.though the paper is compatible you have to keep the blue calibrating paper from your printer to use the other paper.

"This NAS server from D-Link is black in colour and has a maximum memory of 6 TB."

Nowhere does it state it includes any disks...

Also, unrelated to the deal, but may be of interest - I have 2x 6TB disks in mine - even though the manual suggests 3TB is the maximum supported. I suspect the manual predates drives of that capacity!
Viking seem to have pulled to page, I am getting a "No longer available" error message.

Dont forget to add VAT, not mentioning the fact that "memory" is usually RAM, not HDD capacity.
Based on the title and the order confirmation it states 6tb and not enclosure. It's very misleading. I thought I'd post it.

Nice price, not so sure about the build quality. I've a very light touch whilst typing, but keys would pop off on mine quite regularly. I didn't like the feedback either. Moved to a 'near' mechanical keyboard recently and love that.

Half mechanical is just a buzzword. There's no mechanical switches, no semi mechanical switches, just keys on similar sliders above a rubber dome membrane you'd find on any cheap keyboard

can you use this for any pc or just apple?
You can use it with a PC but bear in mind Apple keyboards don't have keys like Insert or the Windows key (obviously).
Won't be as good quality in terms of the typing action, but here's a cheaper similar looking alternative for PC: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/tablet-accessories/tablet-cases-and-keyboards/iwantit-ikbcomp15-bluetooth-keyboard-white-silver-10118455-pdt.html

yeah I've voted hot too - the mac mini is a nice device and looks good too, and I believe apple have put the price of these up post Brexit anyway haven't they?

Apple price increases are Not to do with Brexit. They put the price up in Europe too...in fact it's still the case that most of them cost more abroad in straight conversion...also have in the US so it's greed. But yeah so this model is like £479 direct so that's why I say I can't believe the cold votes if going purely on price and not on hatred of Apple!

I too prefer the 2012 and have the i7 upgraded. What I object to on this site though is it should really change its name to hotopinion because people used to vote if something is a deal but now vote because of their love or hate of a product. I still vote by deal so have some heat! Cheapest for one of these by quite a bit.

I agree with above comments, I have a mac book pro which is great being able to upgrade through two new operating systems and it's a few years old but see no reason to upgrade cost v performance boost etc. However the mac mini is now so overpriced for what it is. I agree would get a decent laptop for that kind of money. It's a £300 box for over £500 but hey it's apple. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hp-pavilion-15-gaming-laptop-i5-6300hq-gtx-950m-8gb-ram-1tb-hdd-549-ebuyer-2526880

I know Apple are about aesthetics, rock steady OS and just getting on with work, all that good stuff, which, an iMac with multiple problems aside, has mostly been my experience with most Apple products, but... this overly-priced 2014 dual core ultrabook spec PC in a very nice tin is long overdue an update, no? I am giving heat because if people want to be part of the Apple OS/applications eco system, they don't exactly have a lot of licensed choices.

Got mine for £429 on flubit on Sunday
Watch they don't send you a non UK model like they did with me
Thanks for the heads up, I will check when it arrives.
They are not very helpful when things go wrong unfortunately, they send me the SM-G930FD which is the South Asian model. Although it seems to work with all UK LTE frequencies there will be no warranty cover and if I had wanted to buy a grey import I could have done so myself at about £380. They have sent MyHermes today to collect it, it has been picked up but the tracking details have not been updated by the courier so I am really nervous about the situation as I have been £440 out of pocket for over 2 weeks.

Well my phone turned up today. Abit of surprise, not only was my phone a Global model, it wasn't a grey import. They sent me a S7 Edge instead of the normal S7 which i ordered....bonus for me. Well happy, all for £429!!!
