I bought two sets myself reduced from ã50 to ã15 from a retail park today, just noticed they have them on their website, not sure of postage though. Excellent quality

Some brilliant bargains online thanks!! Didn't go for this set as I ordered the Amazon Denby pack however picked up some nice Cutlery - £20 from £70, some quality baking trays £10.50 for a set of 3, a half price knife block and some 'cool' mugs & plates. Can't go wrong for just over £60 delivered, could have got the lot for £30 at ASDA but this is quality stuff :-D

Great post, however be aware that most Viners stuff is now made in China, not Sheffield, so I don't know how your Granny would feel about Viners modern stuff, but their older Sheffield Steel was fantastic :)

Please do your homework - shop around. These prices not competitive, as for examples:

http://www.springcatalogue.24studio.co.uk/page.asp?b=JanuaryMainBook2008&p=92&s=6&source=SX1A
15.99 but 24.00 at Viners.

Voted hot in any way.

Hiya sorry for delay in replying, I purchased mine at O'Neida at Dalton Park which is in County Durham

Thanks very much. I don't think we have one of those! Just to check, though, as I may order this elsewhere, we recently bought a couple of 'cheap' dinner services, which are stoneware and the bottoms of the cups, plates, etc are really rough and I'm worried they'd scratch the table. As this dinner set is porcelain, presumably that's not a problem?

Thanks very much for your help, Louise
