any chance of it being unlocked?
#4
To add an image, quickest way is to right click on the photo you want to show here, select "copy image location" then in the quick reply box (below) click on the square yellow box that looks like it has the sun/mountains in, then paste the details into the box that pops up, press ok, submit, job done.
#5
There's no details on call/txt charges - where are these to be found?
#6
Gone for one, cheers!
#7
or pay for 4 copies of the sun 80p and get the same or similar phone for notionally free (£9.50 for the phone with a £10 o2 credit included )

think its 20p per min / 10p per text on virgin

these will be locked

much better off getting a phone from carphone warehouse (e.g LG one for £13.95 delivered with £10 virgin credit less £5 quidco so basically free). these come unlocked so get an asda mobile sim (8p per min / 4p per text).

In that case I think the earlier poster might be right, I'll start buying the Sun this week. 20p a minute is outrageous.

Looks like a good cheap basic phone, but it's not half fugly (intended typo!)

One thing to note though is that I have a number of friends who work for Alcatel who are not issued with Alcatel phones.

Make of that what you will...

On that basis, not voting either way.

fish.

lol kinda obvious if you take the context of UNLOCKING that his comment was regarding!

He's saying there's a free software you can use to unlock this phone and the link is floating around somewhere on this forum.

Calc - as in to calculate the unlock code or that could be the name of the software...

only obvious to you!

MAYBE SPITROAST should learn how the quote facility works and type in proper sentences else they might as well not bother typing anything :-D

Read that sentance back to yourself Spit word for word as well as your first post.Think it will become clear then.No disrespect but with the spelling errors and muddled up sentances it is a bit hard to understand.

Sentances or sentences? I wonder why the chances are so high that, if you write a post in which you criticise someone else for making spelling errors, you will end up making a mistake yourself?

Spit Roast, you're a lovely guy.
You offer help, albeit in Klingon.

You took a load of flack.

Then still offered to help (who even after translation) couldn't muster the brain power to use the search system.

Off immediately to add to your rep. Gawd bless ya guv'

Well the more I search this forum the less I find. Is it just me or is the advanced search feature here pretty hopeless? I cannot find an unlock calculator anywhere on here or with google assistance.
Any of you care to help out with a link to it please?

I gave up and took the earlier advice and bought an unlocked LG GB102 from Carphone warehouse on Virgin - £3.95 with £5 quidco - you need to buy £10 credit and £2.99 DHL so total cost = £13.95 total cost including delivery with £10 credit.

It's only so I can give it to the kids so I can phone them to come home when they're at the park, and we're on Virgin Media home phone so my calls to this will be free :)

Great advice from & rep given to csiman, cheers bud
