No. Only Three allow tethering as far a I know

Ee, bt, tesco and o2 offer tethering! No tethering is a deal breaker for some!

if i'm already on a contract with virgin do i now get 4g automatically instead of 3g or need to change contract, and can you change to this without having to jump through hoops? it says 4g on all sim only contracts and that's what i'm on with them. i know the 4g is a new thing for them but haven't noticed it on my phone
#9
When I called up I had to ask to be moved to 4G. But that was just before they rolled it out so I''m not entirely sure if you'll be moved automatically or not. - Won't harm to ring and ask. You'll need a new sim card too.

Has anybody managed to get a loyalty deal on top of the double data?

No, their definition of loyalty at present is 'feel free to take advantage of the offers available to the general public".

Also their site is down right now, I doubt this is in response to heightened demand!

Are you on a rolling 30 day? If so they will be willing to change you onto 4g effective your next bill date.

Not sure what the score is if you're on a 12 month.

double data allowances are on £6, £9 and £12 30-day SIM-Only and handset contracts.

One deal is the Apple iPhone SE and iPad Mini 2 bundle dropping to £31 per month for 600MB(double data) of 4G data, a saving of £48.

You need to apply a 4G replacement sim from Virgin. It is free.

You need a replacement $g sim. If you don't apply double data, you automaticallt get a £3 discount on your bill.

I'd avoid Virgin mobile now, after having been a customer for years. I got a letter yesterday saying the noticed I was on an old plan and will be getting rid of it. Price rise of £10. From the link above it looks like they will be increasing their price every year too.

The charge for your airtime plan will increase with your July bill each year. Any increase will be in line with the retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation announced in the April before and we’ll always give you 30 days’ notice of the exact increase each year.

I'm looking elsewhere!

Yeah come on, this is a site to share deals not just post what you got... how did you get this? Retention? Some link?

Retentions.

Well this deal seems to have ended! So much for Black Friday. It was saying the 28th November yesterday but now the deal on SIM only double data has gone.

Everyone else seeing that?

It is still available; go through the plan and the double data promotion will be applied.

Aha yes! Thanks for pointing that out - much appreciated. It add's it as an extra at checkout.

Just odd as yesterday it was showing it clearly on the page. Wonder why they removed it.
