Good price but should actually be £288 as it's a 24 month contract !

Both my son and Hubby got this for £10 a month as Virgin customers. Good deal for both as son is looking to downgrade his o2 simplicity contract to £15 a month (currently on £20) so this will in effect cost him £5 a month (he is a real gadget guru!!) and hubby is a dinosaur who scarcely uses his phone but would top up more than this over the 2 year period!

forgot to say £30 quidco too!

have been on virgin mobile for about 5 years and can not fault them, very good prices and customer services. Virgin media on the other hand ... good grief!

Very good for people that don't need the minutes,

Virgin Media, easily the best broadband product on the market.
They'll have to prize my cable connection out of my cold dead hands before I go near a DSL circuit

Its the customer service at Virgin media that really lets them down; they struggle with English. Have good uptime though and the speeds are good

In YOUR area not all VM areas are created equal and CS is appalling wherever you are as well just pray you don't need support ever and also pray you don't fall into their draconian traffic shaping if you dare to use your connection during peak times

central london here, on 50mbit package. I hit 50mbit regardless of what time of day I run a speedtest (e.g. http://www.speedtest.net/result/945890885.png which is just now, while running torrents in background and over wifi). support has been super fast and without hassle every time i've called.

plus, no traffic shaping on 50mb. Downloaded about 300gb of PS3 torrents in the past 2 days, no hassle. My package, with TV M, phone M comes to 35/month. Unbeatable, if you ask me...

The worst customer service that I have ever encountered. I left Virgin Media after ONE day. They didn't set up my broadband service after they put it in, they just left without even connecting my computer to it.

Just read the deal and it as "as new". I take it that these are refurbished/return units then.

The deal sounds good thanks for posting :).

Did you pay for this service? It is optional.
#18
Installation team aren't allowed to install the broadband to your machine, they aren't covered to use customers property
#19
Oh this deal is instore as well, and they are NOT as new handsets, brand new stock we use

How do they check if you're an existing virgin customer? My flat has virgin broadband, but its not under my name...

I assume this is only for people who don't actually talk on their phone. 50 mins? I don't think I've ever seen a package with so few. Having said that, I have 4 Virgin phones, the first one I got nearly 10 years ago and they have been great for customer service and honesty. I pay £10/m each - 3 have 200 mins/unlimited texts, one has 300 mins/500 texts on a rolling 30 dya contract.
I have one Vodafone contract which I will terminate soon - they lie to you. I negotiated a 12 month contract for £12.50 inc VAT on the phone. When it comes to billing they added VAT on making £14+ and say it's a £25 (plus VAT) contract with 50% discount for 9 months. With Virgin you get exactly what it says on the tin, unlike the scheisters at Vodafone.
Regarding Virgin Media - that's a whole other story. We paid for 20Mb broadband and never got better than 6. The phone never worked after 2 weeks, so it cost us a fortune to call them for service and the TV didn't work for over a month. Never again (although I do get the VM discount of the phones.)

I must be the only person in my group of friends who doesn't have a Blackberry.......Now i do! Heat added. Not keen on the amount of minutes or contract length but it works out at about £10.96p a month after quidco so about what i spend on PAYG.

The good thing about all your friends having one means you can chat via Blackberry messenger (free) rather than text message.

lol that is a very bold statement, (I like the way that works on two levels) sure virgin media is great if you lve in an ideal location from an exchange and all that stuff,

back at uni eveything was fine, until it turned terrible slap bang in the middle of newcaslte, had 0.06mb/s upload all day long, why might you ask, they basically screwed me around for months, i set up a random thing (i dunno what its called) where you email there experts so as not to waste money calling them, got screwed around for at least 3 months and then it miraculously got better and thats when a dude started ringing me after the riddic amount of emails i had sent every single day months prior to it getting better,

there was no explanation, my download was fine around 9mb/s, techniciancs on the phone told me i couldnt be doing stuff properly was such balogne so i wouldnt really say they provide a great service its all dependant on where you live...

trying to play COD on a that kinda upload was possibly one of the most agitating experiences of my life lol, was actually amusing at time when i would do speedtest.net and my download was a happy 9.5mb/s and upload would be as low as 0.01mbs..

Very interested in this offer, however, could I also use the sim in my Nokia N82 for unlimited web access without being charged? I understand I wouldn't be able to use the BBM in N82 but web access I'm unsure? Have any of you experiance with this to know for sure?
