Right now Virgin Media are offering 6 months half price + free installation, add in Top Cash Back's £100 cashback and over 18 months you're looking at an equivalent price per month of:

10Mb Broadband + M+ TV + M Phone = £22.68
10Mb Broadband + M+ TV + M Phone + HD and recording = £30.46

OK, not as good as last years cashback deals of £130 to £165 - but all the same good compared to Sky! I just cancelled my Sky package because roughly the same service was costing £53 per month, and there's no *decent* on demand service with Sky.

If only we could get cable or even LLU phonelines in rural Wales, I would have Sky or Virgin and a fast broadband :(

I have been with virgin for 7 years. I have never had a problem, maybe because I speak directly with cancellations everytime :D

Was checking the different packages...In the last 10 minutes, they have put the installation fee up from £0.00 to £49.95. Obviously to compensate and take back half the Quidco money,

+1 I have gone over to virgin for the 50 meg broadband after being a satisfied sky customer for over 10 years and have to say say their customer service is the worst i've encountered from any company. They really are a shoddy company, can't wait to go back to sky.

The installation fee is still £40.00, and free if you take all three parts of the bundle. The £49.95 charge is for "enabling HD". You've chosen either the HD or HD+ options for TV.

Good price, will this include Film 4 HD? Anyone know 'off the top of their head'?
My contract has expired, would I be better cancelling with them and then re-subscribing with this offer?

My past dealings with cancellations have never been that fruitful.

Phone line rental is now £12.24, and is included in the prices I quoted above. Those prices are any fees and monthly costs minus discounts and cashback spread over the first year. Obviously subsequent years will be charged at full price. Follow the link and play with the flash tool to see what the packages cost.

Well, I went to cancel and just like every other year nothing fruitful came out of it - instead I get an arrogant, confrontational and rude customer service agent that blatantly lies, for starters -

1. ADSL2 only supports speeds upto 10mb and no more
2. Virgin Media do not throttle the connection (true if your on 50mb+ connection, on any less package - they do!)

I gave my 30 days mandatory notice. For those thinking this is a deal, its not im afraid to say and not because im bitter, i think the OP may have miscalculated, correct me if im wrong please -

Firstly, this is an 18 month contract (not 12)

Phone Line £12.24 + Bundle (TV and Broadband) £9.50 = £21.74 for first 6 months = 130.44
Remainging 12 months x £31.49 =377.88

Total over 18 month period = £508.32
minus £100 cashback = £408.32
cost per month £408.32/18 = £22.68

This may still sound good for some, please bear in mind Phone Line + Broadband costs this anyway and in most cases TV is thrown in for free.

What ya think guys?

Anyone have any idea how they are with people cancelling and then immediatly signing up again to get the quidco etc?

Been with Virgin for five year, still got the same crappy NTL box. If i cancel and my misses signs up at same address would this offer be valid? Rang them up recently and they wanna charge me loads for a hd box and installation even if i set it up myself.

Haha bit drunk when I wrote that.
I couldnt book throught their website after going via quidco, offer was around £65 at that time, I explained that and he took the same amount off my bill. Long story short, yes I think you can get it just for phone and BB! I did, but unconventionally :)
