Doesn't beat the Virgin Mobile cable deal i got yesterday.

300mins, 300txts... £10/month :-)

But still good i suppose if your not with Virgin Media
#2
£5 profit once you add quidco.

Waffles hope you go a phone with that, the £2.99 lobster or so.
#3
Thanks for the post andrewduffell, similar to the 200 XNet Mins & 300 TXT's SIM Only 6 Month deal they were doing 4 months ago.

However, doesn't this belong in the Hot Deals Thread?

Apologies if it does... I assumed that because it worked out costing £0.00 in the end, then this was the place. If a mod could move it, that would be great! :D
#5
X10 might be right, I think free freebies = not one penny is actually spent, redeemed or not and this requires 6x£15 to be actually paid.
#6
Would you get quidco with this deal, if so how much?
#7
I thought £5 for some reason, I think I'm wrong:

I've been with Virgin pay as you go for years and years. Never been on a mobile phone contract, ever. But this might just entice me to try it. Sounds good because it is only six months and there doesn't seem to be too much faffing about sending in all sorts of bills.
Once the six months is finished is it ok to say thanks and goodbye and go back to pay as you go? And do you think I'll be able to take my number with me, there and back? :?:
#9
taking your number is ok if you were, say, going to o2 to virgin then virgin to o2

however, as you are going from virgin pay as you go to virgin contract then back again, this is not offered.. NORMALLY

if someone can state otherwise please do, but to my knowledge number porting is not offered between network's pay as you go and contract services

VirginMobile are more flexible than the other networks.

You can easily ask them to get rid of the new number on this contract and to move the PAYG number to the contract, call them and ask before ordering if unsure.

I was able to move a VM PAYG to VM Cable deal contract this way twice without problems.

eh? you can PAC over between networks PAYG or contract it doesn;t matter no problem, O2 and Voda have some strict rules, but otherwise still perfectly possible.

from virgin 0774470100 working use it for international calls
i tried it it is coming out of inclusive min
#13
Actually it tracks as a contract sale with £60 cashback on Quidco. There's also a £5 bill credit direct from Virgin so in effect they are paying you £65 for the contract.

Good if they honour it at £60 but Quidco says for CPW

5% for accessory, ringtone or other sale, including SIM only contracts

Good luck if it works out :)

I had tried to order the SIM for my son last night, but it didn't like my bank name (INTELLIGENT FINANCE & Halifax). Anyone else is having the same problem?
#16
I presume i'll need to cancel in month five or they'll start billing me the monthly rate from month six?
#17

It didn't say this when I order the contract over a week ago.

and besides, 5% of what?
#18
I took out this deal a few months ago with e2save - got about £5 quidco - been paid one cashback cheque on time - a good deal for a short term contract
#19
5% on £0.00 :giggle:
#20
Does any one know how to get cashback from cph?
#21
you_never_know
5% on £0.00 :giggle:

wouldnt it be 5% of £15 a month?
#22
ordered and got the confirmation that the sim will be dispatched to my address... BUt in quidco, its shown a £ 0 tracked for CPW. Looks like 0% on £0 :-(

Right!

probably having a 'Blond' moment here but can someone please clarify this offer for me.

At mo I am on PAYG and make little use of outgoing (Mainly for DD to keep in touch via phone or text and I usually text back).
Total probably 50pence per month.

With this offer, Do I sign up for a D/D and pay £15.00 per month and get 150mins + texts and each month £15.00 is paid back to me -- or what if not?

You have to pay £15 D/D per month and then when you get your 4th bill, ie the bill for month 4 of your contract, you send that back to them and they send you a cheque for £90, covering the cost of 6 x £15 payments.

From the terms and conditions:

"Chequebacks: 4th airtime bill £90.00

Total Automatic money back £0.00
Total from Chequebacks £90.00
Total saving £90.00

Please note: This is a chequeback offer - this means you pay the full line rental every month (as stated in the contract details) and in order to get the reduced line rental, you need to send back your 4th airtime bill and we will send you a cheque for it."

Hi Simon77, I had to ring them up on the freefone 0808 number, it took 5 mins and it was done. The agent said the SIM should arrive tomorrow.
#27
Thx BoomBoom.

Is this where you HAVE to post it back on the exact day or do they give you a bit of leaway.

Not very good with organisation.:)

According to the CPW you have 60 days to send in your 4th airtime bill.:)

Just be careful to make sure it's not a rolling contract or if it is then cancel within the timescales quoted in the T & C's to avoid a sneaky direct debit for your (7th) month.
Good luck. Seems a great deal and a reliable company to deal with.

#32

Though this deal has been on and off lately so is possible.

and they didnt bother, how can this possibly be a freebie :? If it is then all cashback deals that are free 12 months line rental belong in the freebie section or this belongs in hot deals

I've got a mobile phone locked to T-Mobile. Would I be able to use one of these Virgin Mobile Sims in it? Ta.
