Great price and good experience if you like supercars.

It is a long day, and you do have to wait around for ages as there seem to be hundreds of people who attend each event. Some tracks you only get 2 laps, it is worked out as 3 miles in each car.

I had lots of fun and would recommend the Ariel Atom, avoid the Aston Martin as it is too heavy, gutted I missed the Nissan GTR, but will try that one next time........HOT

I did one of these a while back. Agree about the Aston Martin, looks nice, but it's a posing car. It was the Ferrari that i enjoyed most, despite being pretty knackered with bits falling off its trim. Be prepared for the hard sell of extra insurance when you get there though.

What does the extra insurance cover? If you crash one if their cars are you expected to pay for it?

Cars are all automatic though so kids can drive them too which may be a good or bad thing. Totally agree the hard sell is crazy and spoils the experience. I did this last year and it was not worth £100 unless your a small child who has never driven. For an adult car enthusiast you just do not get to drive the cars fast enough to appreciate the handling. The organisation is hit and miss with long queues and waiting trying to get the attention of marshals who pick and choose who they select for the next drive. Its a shambles frankly.

Excess is £5k if you crash one of their cars, most of the cars seemed quite battered so it would be really hard to tell if you took one off road. The instructors tell you what to do, so you would have to do something really silly to crash one of their cars.

I did take the insurance out last time, but I would not take it out again as I feel it was not needed. Pay extra for the USB recording stick if you can, it is the only "extra" worth getting from them as you get all of your drives recorded to USB stick (from 2 cameras which are installed in each car).

Love the gtr... am desperate to buy one.

Toss up between that and the i8... really unsure which my first massive splurge will be - but i'm about 2 years away until i can afford it. At which point i'll probably fancy a different one.

Once spoke to a giy who owned a gtr.. small ginger guy. Said he'd pulled so many one night stands because of it!
