quidco only works with triple package Broadband, Phone and TV.

Remember if you are with BT the £11 a month line rental replaces your BT so you was paying this anyway.

I don't think you're supposed to include quidco in the price.

Have some heat... Good deal...

Good Luck with it if you thinking of getting VM. Awful expensive service. Quidco is not guaranteed, and without it's quite expensive.

for £78.50 a month which basically includes everything and 20mb broadband, all sky channels, a Virgin V+ HD box, unlimited free calls to landlines etc

Broadband is not unlimited (it's "managed", you're slowed down if you download "too much"), calls aren't unlimited (only landline calls) and all other calls are vastly expensive (cost more than BT). That's how they make their money, by fooling you into believe that it's cheap. Read the small print man.

Been with VM for 2 years. Never had any problems with service or billing.

Hot UK members aren't stupid, this will get freezing cold.

02 standard broadband (8mb trully unlimited no FUP) £6.17, BT line rental £11.25 Freeview (free with TV and not much difference to virgin M+ TV).Total guarenteed cost for me £17.42. The unlimited calls are useless to me and whilst Quidco may payout it may take 12+ months. Thats why i voted cold

thats if its a quidco only deal, but the 2 months free and free installation have been added as well

Hi there. No, you cannot include cashback from third-party cashback sites in the price that goes under the image. This should be the final, "off the shelf" price after all costs and delivery have been paid.

I for one aren't stupid. This isn't really a deal is it. This is just what they normally offer anyway - and then you add "if you complain..." in the mix. Very well and good if you catch someone who knows what they're doing in the retention department but you can never rely on that. Aside from that VM is one of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of knowing (albeit for a VERY brief time) as a former NTL customer. You don't get all the channels that Sky have, their broadband is capped - that alone is enough to make me laugh out loud, and their telephone service is as you would expect from anyone else.

I'll enjoy my Sky thanks. Oh and 24MB UNCAPPED broadband which has been PERFECT since day one.

Cold.

My advice is: What ever package you want, get it straight away, because as soon as you make any routine change to your account your billing will go off it's head and it will always be to their advantage.

Then you get to talk too people from another Continent who couldn’t give a Rats Ass about the crap service you are paying for and the outrageous bills that are now landing in your inbox.

So you get through to UK customer services who couldn't string together a consistent story to save their own lives.

My last an final incident (I have now cancelled and it's heaven)

I had phone and B/B @ £21.53 a month and decided to get the FREE set top box (tv)

Next months bill £56.40

Refused to pay and cancelled the DD. They made threats and so on.

We said: Please do, I would relish going too Court with you.

We eventually got a correct final bill for the last two months ‘STINKING SERVICE’ (inc 30days cancellation) – Total = £39.62.

(note; this is the massively abbreviated version).

One scumbag company and the inconsistent stories will amaze you. Just make sure you keep all your documents like we have (even though we’ve cancelled) and enjoy your time analysing your bill.

Sensible succinct comment, even excluding the possible £75+ Quidco for o2 home BB..
Have some rep.

Been with "Telewest" since 2001 and have travelled along for the ride ever since... for the past 5 years I've only had BB (20mb) and Phone (M) but this week I decided the bills were getting just way too much (wife is now at home all day with our new baby, so using phone etc.) so booked for a BT line to be installed with the intention of moving BB to O2...

Last night get a call from a nice english chap (guess he was from cancellations) saying they have had a request from BT to move the number. We had a good chat and I explained why I was leaving and that BB was soon to be moved soon... long and short of it is they've given me a lovely deal for the next 12 months that I've gone with (10mb + talk unlimited = £14.50/month). Happy with that and although it does renew my contract with them for 12 months the offer is for 12 months so I can just move away at the end of that.

I should add, in 9 years I've never ever had a problem with the phone or internet... top notch service but yeah, I've seen the decline in customer service and hike in bills since Virgin took over.

It's Virgin's theme song. To be fair, I started with Cable London, then Telewest then NTL and finally Virgin (who ripped me off) and you need to ask the question: Which one of these was/is not haemorrhaging money left, right and centre?

Not sure if it has changed in the past 9 months but my girlfriend has the V+ box and it is a real dog. It is noisy in standby, so needs to be turned off by the plug when not being used, it then takes about 5 mins to come back to life and then changing channels is a whole new world of pain.

Good deal. I hade just the broadband on its own in August and quidco £150.

a number of years ago I did the old trick of ringing up to cancel
not only did I get a good deal from memory i pay about £25-27
for what now is 10mg bb, basic tv, 24/7 free landline calls
now I also told 2 friends to follow me and do the same trick
they got better deals (pricewise) only slightly though than me

so the trick is to anyone paying full bat on VM
get onto cancellations pretty dam quick
if you have to call there bluff

same for me

10mb BB and phone line rental - £17.50 per month with.............. VIRGIN MEDIA :-D

Reading quidco I don't think you need to get all three - it says for all cable packages/bundles and on the virgin site it counts doubles as bundles. So if you get phone and brodband you'd be paying £23.50 * 10 = £230.50 and if the quidco tracks and pays that'd work out at £8.75pm. The at the end of the year either negotiate or change to someone else.

I know the quidco page has cable tv, cable BB and cable phone in brackets but I read this as it just explaining the difference between cable and service down a traditional phoneline.

I was about to sign up for o2 bb but at my distance from the exchange virgin are a lot quicker - as I'm sure they are for the majority of people.

That's debatable.............(and I'm not talking about the fact that the deal will go cold) ;-)
