Multiple options for your 2 for 20:

This changed over today from NTL/Telewest to Virgin Media. There are a few threads in the forum about different packages wit the old companies that you might want to check out.

Thanks for the pointer :)

I was about to say hope you went through quidco.

But I can't find NTL, Telewest or Virgin Media on there.

Considering you're paying £1020/year for that package and Sky offer £50 quidco on a basic package like 2mix = £180/year
I would hope Virgin Media might offer a tasty referral depending on package.
#6
May I suggest that you all wait till tomorrow before ordering, when quidco will add them on their website. They used to offer £27.50 for NTL subscriptions, hopefully it will be the same or better with virgin media
#7
Tortoriko is right, wait for quidco to bring them up

If anyone has a login on tradedoubler.com and other affliate referral trackers and can see Virgin Media please let us know.

The only deal I would be tempted by is the L TV/ M Broadband £20 deal plus sky sports £25 on top making it £45 pm.

My home phone is linked to my VOIP router so don't pay any landline charges, and have a cashback mobile deal that will cost me nothing. Currently I have a HTPC 160gb Freeview PVR I built and pay a total of £14.99 a month for everything. Would like Sky sports though.....but...

If you have an Xbox 360, you might want to wait a bit longer to see what unfolds. Microsoft are teaming up with BT, which will use their IPTV service over the 360.
And what with BT Vision getting the rights to PPV 'live' and 'near live' matches, this can only be a good thing....
#9
Considering how awful the BT Fusion service is I really wouldn't bother.
When multicasting and 21CN properly arrives then maybe IPTV will become viable.
#10
Just wish I could use this service where I live (Hull - East Yorkshire) - no cable and no BT ... :-(

Oh well - it looks a great deal anyway.

I wish the 2 for £20 was the 4mb BB and TV.

My half price broadband ran out this month and I'm reluctant to going back to paying £25 a month for it.

If they would do me TV and my 4mb for £20 - or even £25 a month I'd be happy.

Time to call retentions again, because I see none of these great offers they were supposed to be doing.

Oh I should just mention:

Sky have called me every day for the last two weeks pretty much offering:
TV, Broadband and free evening and weekend calls for £15 a month, £7.50 for the first three months.

Perhaps ntl ought to beat that one...

That sky deal seems too good a deal to me...

If you don't already have a BT phone line there's a connection fee to them before going to Sky ADSL. I have looked into it, as we recently switched over the Sky TV, but still have phone and internet services from Telewest. To go from cable to ADSL would mean buying a new router and paying a connection fee upfront of around £100 to BT.

This is definately a good offer for those who wish to stick with cable.

spladam,

I do think it is worth giving them a call, especially if you are wanting to take extra services. The thing to bear in mind also is that cable broadband is good, very good imo, since joining telewest(ntl, virgin whatever!!) for broadband I can no longer consider going back to an adsl service. You do get what you pay for,4mb is 4mb not up to whatever they wish to call it with other providers.

It does depend on how much you use and value your internet service i suppose, but sometimes the old adage of you get what you pay for is true.

I am considering my options at the mo,rung them earlier today and was offered my phone line with free eve and weekend calls for £6.
Also when my phone contract is up in 8 weeks will be getting 300 mins and 300 texts for £10...bargain,whatever way you look at it.

good luck with the haggling:)

We do have a BT phoneline after we had nothing but issues with ntl and the phone.

The only thing we get at the moment from ntl is broadband, though over the last 10 years or so we have had everything from them.

Absolutely, I do not want to leave ntl broadband, it is simply amazing. I have had ADSL - never again, it was terrible.

I really have no intentions on leaving ntl, but really, they have to do something when Sky are calling regularly and offering TV, Broadband and free evening and weekend calls for £15 a month (£26 a month on their website).

I think I'll give them a call.

Just to bump this up as Quidco has updated their website offering £25 for any orders to their cable package. That will make installation (£25) free and you'll still get £10 on your account for ordering online.

I've placed my order just now.

I wish I could get the offer, I phoned NTL 6 years ago asking when the cable that ends 100 yards from my door was going to be extended and they said soon  I went to the virgin site earlier today as a matter of fact and the only way I could find to get in contact without being a subscriber (they ask for your cable/virgin email) was to lodge a complaint about the site

Seems virgin media have pulled out

I suspect it's because of the current deals that they are doing. Maybe they'll be back after the deals expire

Think this still works as I just recently signed up. If you have a friend who recommends you they give them a thank you of £50 (after 3 months). But that would involve a phone call & quoting the 'friend's' account number, etc.

Dead impressed with their customer service - they have given me loads of discounts for engineer not coming back with adapter for the ethernet cable. Ended up buying a PCI card which cost me £14 & they are giving me £20 as a goodwill gesture which is on top of all the monthly deductions they've coughed up.
