this is ridiculously being voted cold with no understanding of the deal! Shocking!!! This deal includes phone line rental unlike SKY's £21 headline rate which has the BT line rental ontop and poor broadband speeds no where near the 20 mb they claim
#2
i voted cold, because yesterday still got £120 quidco and 12 months contract two weeks ago.
#3
is it for new costumers only

With virgin, each package change resets the minimum term contract again. So as this is an 18 month contract, you'll end up locked in for 2 years surely?

where do u get 2 yrs from?? 18 months is the norm, besides do u really want to be faffing about every 12 months

This isn't a good deal because VM is awful to deal with, has the most expensive call charges in the UK (more than BT), has BB traffic shaping and Quidco should not be included in a quote.

The more people who have virgin media so called fibre optic broadband the worse it is for everyone in the area - ive got like 30 people down my street on fibre and i get like 3 meg at peak times

Ive been with VM 7 years, never had a problem, its free to call thier customer services, unlike SKY who charge you via 0844 numbers.

Has to be the biggest load of sheeeite i have ever heard, got 20meg and get just over 19meg and there are plenty on my street on VM. As for the customer service if they ever do anything wrong or there service slacks a bit they are always willing to take money off your monthly bill if you ask nicely always found them willing to please and help me when i need them.

Well initial 18 months signed up for, then downgrade after 6 months. Clock starts on 18 months again. Total of 24 months.

I'm not trying to shoot you down fella, I got caught out with the package amendments a few years ago.

Sky do not compare to Virgin in any department, they can not compete with fibre optic and will always be behind virgin because they are dependent on BT lines until they install fibre optic.
I get
20Mb broadband unlimited download, (never throttled as I don't over download) can only get 8meg max with sky.
XL tv 160 channels including espn etc (espn extra £9 per month with sky)
Sky sports pack
V+ HD box plus second V box in other room £10.25 per month extra for sky multiroom
and free evening and weekend calls to landlines
£72 inc line rental sky do not compare if you want fast broadband you have to have fibre optic.

I hope you take this with the intention that it is made; I think you need to negotiate a better deal than that.

You taken the 30mb bb upgrade?

I agree. We're looking around to change from VM, as we've had so many problems with them especially their nightmarish billing system. Not voting but not recommended either. Sorry OP.

Think its a one off payment of £30 to upgrade to 30Mb.
My next upgrade maybe the TIVO box.
Im not saying i get the best deal of any virgin customer but for what i get i am happy for the price if you ring and haggle you may get cheaper but what i am saying is sky does not compare so anyone who can get a good deal with virgin fibre optic service go for it!.
The broadband is unbeatable. fact.
#21
the broadband IS fantastic.

I rang them last week to upgrade to 30mb. A week later and I'm enjoying the 30mb cheaper than I had 20mb!?

I appear to have the same pack as you plus 30bb for £53 a month.
I am tied in for 12 months tho.

BT are doing ftth. That beats this anytime. But thats extremely limited atm.
#23
Do you have the sky sports pack and a second box for that price if so i might give them a call.
i still think if you compare my price to a new customer with sky it dont compare and its crap broadband.
After haveing 20Mb for so long I cant go backwards on speed it would kill me.
Also the V+ box is pretty good as you can record two channels and watch a 3rd at the same time dont think sky box HD does this.
#24
Hi.

I have the second box BUT missed the fact you have the sports channels, my bad :)

A lot of folk slate the V+ box but I've always thought it was a neat bit of kit, especially the point you have made.

Just to let you know quidco with virgin media is really slow (not just me loads of complaints in quidco messages), my £160 cashback from sign up in march last year only arrived this week.

Why do people spout this rubbish.
I have 50Mb and consistently get between 49 and 51 Mb. Upload is always 4.7Mb

I did the same 12 month contract on broadband only, no need for crap tv and expensive phone (anyway it only on 18 months contract), in one year time simply cancel and get another contract and another cashback, my cashback has been validated already so it is going to be paid, I am just going make sure not getting this crappy super hub, friend of mine asked them and they installed just modem.
#28
How is this deal including phone line rental? I went on the website and it sasys there is an additional charge of 12.99 that applies.
#29
just got 30mb broadband, tv and phone,
Topcashback tracked at £151.50.
