£14.99 activation fee
missed that, updated the price now.

It's £23/a month for 100Mbps which might be a better deal for many :) If only Virgin offered these prices to existing customers.

I can only get 8Mbps from other providers in my area, so no alternative to Virgin, otherwise I would have ditched them ages ago.

virgin will pricematch other competitors. Sky have a broadband+line rental deal for £15/m and virgin is pricematching that to people who say they want to leave.

damn that's good!

Activation fee £14.99 cold from me

Is this a 12 month contract or do sneaky Virgin tie you up for a 18 month contract and get their "discounts" back in the last six months by big price hikes!
I am interested but the website isn't very clear.

I pay £23 for 150Mb broadband only, ask them if they can match it, they should be able to find other offers.

use code VMVBOX50 for £50 off

probably better with players bundle for £29, as you get £52 topcashback plus £125 shopping voucher or £199 speaker

Definitely worth a call to them once you're out of contract. I have 150Mb BB only and the price recently went up to £38pm. Just renewed on a 12-month plan for £35pm, which now includes my Line Rental and had £50 credited to the account to cover installation fees for the landline and upgrading/replacing the SuperHub to 3.0

Another code 50extra

just called them and they wont do anything for me - i am paying £31 for BB and phone - don't want phone but they did charge more for BB on its own! If i was a new customer i could get what i want for £18 - i probably should just leave. Its a months notice if i ask them to cancel it - anyone think they will call back and do a better offer if i did?

WOW. I was the same as you aside from being out of contract (I'm rolling), I ended up signing up to £60 a month for the anytime talk, 200mb fibre optic and their full house TV :/ Which I thought was a good deal. Think I need to give them a call again

Any advice on how you got that deal? Thanks!

How did you get yours for £23?
#19
Im not convinced with the price matching , it depends on who you get imo. Some are sorted and some are just ejits.

Regardless, I'm glad i waited it out and paid 45 for the 1st month off contract, knew black friday time would get better, this plus the 50 off is a cracking deal.. heat!!!:{

Put in the request to cancel and get the call from retentions. we were on a higher price coming to an end, been playing the same game with sky and virgin for years and always get a discount, this time the guy caught me out and I said if the discount wasn't coming to an end we would have stayed he the offered two sets of discounts which resulted in us paying less than we were.

When I was with Virgin, they told me at any point I could change my package to the 'new customer price' but it'd round my contract back up 18 months

Thanks!

Got my yesterday's plan to £43! And I even do anything. The guy over the phone just I shouldn't take yesterdays offer as there is a better offer in place.

Thanks again!

When i was with virgin a couple of years ago i asked to give my 30 days notice, they then offered to pricematch the best deal i found for regular adsl broadband at the time. Sky are offering broadband for £15/m including line rental. You should be able to get them to pricematch that. They might not do it when you give them your notice but they will phone you after a week and likely offer you a better deal than their 1st deal.
