Why are you paying so much for the L package in the first place?
#2
rbquk im paying that as well for my L broadband its what virgin have put their prices up to
#3
I already get £9.50 discount on my package so not actually paying £25
#4
VM is expensive there basic package is £29.99 and the phoneline is crazy expensive when used -.-
#5
What a dreadful company - its the old NTL World which had the world's worst customer reviews.

Please vote based on the deal not past experience of customer service,

I have been with :ntl/Virgin for at least 10 years now and yes they have their faults but they are not the worse company out there. I have also had Sky tv on a couple of occasions and they are no better/worse than Virgin. In the time i have been with them I have only lost service for more than 24 hours on two occasions. They have cleaned up a hell of a lot over the years, in fact I would say they are on par with Sky.

The only thing that boils my onions is that I haven't been able to access my webspace for 2 years now but it's no biggy.

I pay 30 for 20mb, phone line and lowest tv package.
#9
My current package looks like

Telephone £11.00
XL TV £23.00
V+ Box £0.00
BB L £25.00
BB TV and Phone Bundle Discount £9.50

with the new deal the discount in my case increases to £18.50

I just phones Virgin Media and they said for my package it would cost an extra £12.50 for the XL broadband. I only have the L Broadband and the Phone - No TV.
#11
My G/F pays £25 a month for L service broadband and I've been told by friends that she's being overcharged.
Virgin are crap providers, if you complain they can be haggled with and will do deals.
That's not always a good thing as some people don't like to speak up and complain about things and instead suffer in silence.
#12
I'm on VM broadband 'L' and it costs me £17 per month
#13
You think you're suffering,

I can't even get bloody Virgin Cable - cos they can't be bothered to lay the lines out where I live, nobody wants to unbundle the local loop so every non cable broadband offer never applies to me either......

:-(

Mine is the same, wasnt aware of the extra loyalty discount though. At the moment I pay £34 a month for all the services, not totted up the extra charges yet but i think its about £3 more :)

i pay £13 for L Broadband (no phone, no TV), so prob not worth upgrading for me.

Worth reminding people to call them and speak to retentions, they will always offer you better price than the standard one if you say you are thinking of leaving etc.
#16
They just told me it was £30 if you sign the 12th month contract & take the router or £30 per month without contract or router.

So thats an extra £5. I hate them, but the cable BB is good.

heat added.

no matter what you say but the fact is that their cable Broaband rocks!! you get the speed what they say unlike bt/sky and other people who talk about up 24/16 Mbps and say sorry you live 1 mile away from the exchange so we can only offer you 2Mbs or so.
#18
The speed you get depends more on your distance from the exchange more than anything else.

I'm currently paying £7.99 for the 8Mb service, along with their free evening and weekend calls bundle. Even if I upgraded to the 20Mb service, my speed wouldn't increase, so make sure you check whether your line is capable of the speed before you upgrade.

err no it doesn't:

All waking hours of the day are capped! the evening is especially appalling! I can never get the BBC iPlayer HD streaming it keeps telling me you need 3.6mbps for it to work hmmm isnt 10 enough?

Telephone Line Rental £11.00
Talk Evening And Weekends £3.45
Phone, Bband L & TV M Saving £-11.00
TV Size: M £0.00
Broadband Size: L £25.00

the discount makes L BB £14 (which used to be the standard price for new customers) but it's currently a standard price of £12.50 for new customers, so does this mean the £11 discount should be £12.50?

I upgraded and got the free router. then told them i didn't want a new contract. they cancelled the upgrade but never looked for the router to be returned! nice one!:gift:

I have unlimited uk calls, broadband m (which was upgraded for free to 10mb) and small tv all for £21 a month. That's because at the moment I'm getting a special discount because I tried moving to Vonage for the telephone. Then Virgin called me and offered £20 discount.A year later was offered even free tv (small package). But 3 years ago used to pay £40 and not even unlimited calls.
