err I get that anyway with XXL TV and XXL Broadband, just need to haggle at the end of the phone. With the current credit crunch they need all the customers they can get. They are getting whats coming to them with their original rip off prices! I used to pay £25 a month purely for a 512Mb broadband service, i want some of my money back the thievin' begets.

if only they service my area

Good deal although still works out over £31 month over 12 month period which is about normal price for new customers.

There are some good deals to be had at the moment.
It is possible to get the V+ box installed for £30, certainly for existing customers if you go via retentions and mention you are thinking of leaving or going to Sky.

I just called to ask about this offer as I'm already a customer and paying more than £44 per month. I currently have L Broadband, L TV and L Phone.

I was told that the offer didn't exist, but after saying about three times that it was on the website the girl finally found it. I was then told that it's only available for people taking out a virgin phone line. I said that I already have one (hence why I'm paying for L Phone service), she then said that I would need to take out another one. I asked if she was suggesting that I would then have to have two phone lines and pay for that twice just to get on this deal - to this she replied yes.

I questioned this a few times just to see if I was being thick as f**k - but no she confirmed many times that this is only available for people taking out a new service (in this case a new phone line) so I would need to get an additional phone line installed to get the deal!!!!!

Typical Virgin Media Serivce :x

If it wasn't for the cable companies, now all merged into one i.e. Virgin Media then you wouldn't have any real competition to BT Or Sky and hence you would have much, much higher prices, oh by the way Virgin Media STILL don't make a profit.

I wrote to Virgin Media and told them to cancel my contract as I was leaving for Sky and they rang me up and offered me XL TV, XL broadband 10MB and free evening and weekend calls with the phone line, a V+ box with subscription( fitted free ), a wireless router and two months free!!!! All this for what I was paying anyway £33 a month. They are obviously desperate to keep customers. My friend now has her biro at the ready!!!:-D

Oh and a couple of weeks later they bring back Sky 1 2 3 Sky News and Sky Sports news. Result!!
