You probably could if you ordered it in your partners name or something.

I have a BT phone line

Can I get this as an extra line so will benefit from extra phone line and cable tv?
#6
Lots of these deals knocking around.:whistling:
Quidco will take at least 2months to come through.
Saying that the deal is a good one, anyone in their right mind would get this
Virgin have had a bad press from some folk in ere but I have nothing but good things to say about them.
The only prob I have ever had is it is hit n miss to whom you get in customer services.
Get someone from this country and you will get an answer to your problem/question..........the same cannot be said however if you get someone from a call centre in another country:whistling:
They can't even pronounce the companies name and call it wirgin!!

Thanks, LOL :-D

Seems super hot, if quidco pays out. Fag packet calculation is 12 months x £11 = £132 + £15 (cheapest installtion) = £147. Quidco = £150, if received, = £3 profit, as posted by Taksim_Red.

Also note that this price refers to paying by direct debit etc/

'If you pay by non-Direct Debit methods you will incur a monthly £5 charge, payable to Virgin Media Payments, for payment handling services. £1 per month added for paper bills (£1.25 after 1 May 2009).

I'm moving home shortly, so I will sign up for this I think! Thanks OP.

Do you have to sign up for the phone line? I don't need one.. Want XL TV and L broadband, or M at the least of course.

I think they say w's instead of v's

2 v's joined is a double yew...i guess

We got called before and offered the tv for free....... i dont think the phone line is worth it these days, its £11 a month for the line then the calls. If you dont use the phone much, if at all, it's worth getting a cheapy £15 mobile on pay as you go.

What ifI'm an existing customer? I'm looking for another cable box in another room.

Can I apply for another account in my patners name?
#17

Nope, its one account per house. Like you can't have two modems in the same house in separate names.
#19
Anyone know how they define "new customer"? I killed my contract with them (broadband only) 3 months ago
#20
Can't get Virgin at my house!
Not by signing up on-line. A rep came out from Vigin and said I can get it if I pay a set-up fee of £60. Every other address in my street can thou. Seems they must of left me out when they did all the cabling. :x

Thats the funniest thing ive ever heard...

You PAY THEM for installing it yourself?

LOL

Its like buying a tv from currys and they know your going to instal it yourself but charge you for your troubles
#23
Do you get HD 'free' with standard box or do you need an HD box? Can you link a Freesat HD to the Virgin cable line to get HD please?

You need a HD box (V+) to view HD channels
for which they not only charge u extra for when u purchase the box, but also add £5 pm monthly fee

How can they call themselves Virgin, when they are forever ***king over there customers, why do you think they even entertain the idea of doing deals like this; its cos everyone's leaving them.

All i can say is DO NOT get rid of your BT line as if you do you will be limited to one broadband provider, Virgin.
#27
Ive had nothing but good service from Virgin
#28
They have a free installation offer going on at the moment (until 30th September)

Well thats what it says on this page... http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=3264

I have 2 virgin lines currently, on my dads account. If i cancel the additional line can i take this up on my name to replace the cancelled line and benefit from quidco? Also, if i do this, do i stand to lose the additional lines phone number? I dont want to lose the number :S
#30
I have a virgin phone, have to say it is more expensive generally. They still charge for 0845 and 0870 numbers (i think BT scrapped those charges) and the actual calls are more. I have an XL package so as long as I dont go over an hour or call mobiles too much its okay, but they're certainly more expensive than BT.
#31
voted hot shame there's no cable near us
#32
As other have said. Can you have a BT line and Virgin line simultaneously?
#33
anybody see any reason why i cant add the V+BOX then sell it on ebay,

you rent the equipment from Virgin, they will want the V+ back when you finish the contract.

Yes you can. They are both totally different kind of lines.
#37
Why are you/we paying for it then? For the rental of it? Seems.. well, odd.

What's the best deal of broadband and TV inc. HD box, Sky Sports ESPN etc? 10Mb.
#38
shame SKY can't take the bait and try to compete.
Virgin seem to have some really good deals

Best deal I recently got (and was voted cold cold cold) was...

£51 per month. TV XL, BB L, Phone XL, V+HD & Additional V box - all free install within 2 weeks of order - not sure if you can get quidco with this.
#40
hmmm so I could get this installed upstairs, a diff phone line so I can keep the BT one and not use the Virgin line, and keep O2 BB on the BT line?. Then the kids can have cable telly for nothing for a year?
