Hate to tell you this, but Music on-demand has been free for XL customers for a good 8 months or so now.

LOL, yeah, it would be good if the movies were this price all the time, or even just £1.

I'm the same. It's not the same now you can't record the movies (if you have V+). Rather put the money towards the DVD. Like I say, if it was a quid or less though, I probably would use it.

Thats why I love the VIP package - Sky Movies and you can record them all and watch them when you want - still for 1p this is a hot deal

I love Virgin On demand, I mean all the free stuff that comes with being an XL customer, plus catch up TV, brilliant service, and I hear that the BBC iPlayer service will be on the On demand system come April.

Virgin on demand is superb - when it WORKS!
the amount of times it says - not available at this time! p*sses me right off.

In the middle of Life on Mars series 2 but havent been able to access it for afew days.

has anyone complained?
do u get a few quid off?
might give them a ring if its not working tonight.

Oh and thanks for the heads up on the movies!!

Good deal. Nice one.

Thats strange, had it since it was first introduced and never noticed it being unavailable - maybe its the area you live in?

I've had that message ONCE, and it was when I was messing around with it (changing what i was watching about 3 times in a minute :))

i have just gone over to v+. (£75 install no monthly charge for xl customers). I've had no problem with on demand and the V+ side works great and is easy to use. the only minor camplaint I have is the slow response to channel changing.

I've only had problems a coupletimes with this. Have you tried reseting the box?

Bit of trivia here....Did you know that when you rewind Virgin On Demand and you see it going backwards its not the main program you see rewinding, there are separate "trick " files of rewinding and fast forwarding that get played to give the impression of rewinding/fast forwarding.

You know, I always thought the rewinding and fast-forwarding was weird. Whenever I rewind or fast-forward on demand and then hit play it always plays about 4 seconds ahead of when I hit the play button... if you get me.

Tar, usually miss out on these 1p films :)

I've the same problem with my standard Samsung box. All I do, is switch it off (at the mains) and switch it back on and leave it for a few minutes and it usually solves things. Annoying, but hey the box was free with my phone line. Virgin should make a bigger deal of on-demand as it's something Sky can't do...and it's free (apart from movies etc).
#22
Are these films also in HD?
#23
good deal, tho im on the free lovefilm offer for 3 mths so prob no good for me.
ocean's 13 isnt worth 1p...truly awful film.....plot so wafer thin they had to pad out the film for all bit 10 mins....a true waste of a decent cast too...2nd worst film i saw lasat year...after Borat (but then Borat doesnt count as that was toilet paper)
#24
My Virgin box is always having problems , either it will update when im in the middle of watching something , this really winds me up as it takes about 4-5 mins to come back on ....i leave it on over night so it really shouldnt do it.

I have also the message where it says on demand is not available at this time , far to many times.

Also have had failed recordings grrrrr

Maybe down to my box so i may ask them to replace , never had problems like this though when it was Telewest.
#25
I didnt hear anything from virgin about these 1p films. You would think if they had a special offer on they would want customers to know to attract business. don't see the point in being secretive about a special offer otherwise what's the point?
Will definately give these a try
#26
Yes, the HD versions are also 1p. I watched Pirates in HD this afternoon for 1p. Brillaint
#27
Thanks for this, watched bridge to terabithia last night, brilliant film :)
