Hi I just rang up to upgrade my package from the classic £10 with 300 mins 300 texts as I was going over on the mins. Anyway I asked about the £15 liberty sim which is currently 500mins Unltd text but I said I was a virgin media customer and was offered this deal. I think this is a bargain plus internet is only 30p a day with virgin and free voicemail.

My first post hope I've done it right!

i'm with virgin and they do seem very loyal to their existing customers. A great deal IMO.

This was just a tariff switch over and is available to all virgin media customers you just need to give your account number when you sign up. Or if your already with them ask to switch your package.

I am one of their former customers - Virgin Media has done absolutely everything to ensure I leave and contact ombudsman while doing so :) .Shocking procedures and CS.

I also get 300 mins talk and 300 txt per month for £10 per month but am on a monthly contract. Will this offer apply to me?

Yes you just ring up and they will change it but best to either to use your 300 minutes up first or to do it near to your refresh date as they will wipe out remaining credit and charge the £15 for the new tarriff and give you the 600 mins, etc..from the day you make the change.

I'm also with virgin and I only receive 100mins & 100 text monthly contract for £10 a month, this my 2nd year at this price and they didnot change my phone. Wanted me to take out an 18 month contract and I refused. Have all vm products home phone, mobile, BB & XL TV. Advice pls as to what I'm doing wrong. Cheers. Heat added

I've just signed up for Virgin Media's bundle for TV, Phone & Internet but didn't take up the Mobile option because it was only offering me 100 mins and 100 texts a month for £10, whereas at the moment I pay Orange £15 and get 200 mins and unlimited texts (I get through about 900 in a month)

So, do you think if I wait and ring them after installation of the other services I can talk them into the 600 mins and unlimited texts? Or should I do it now? I already have a VM Sim that I used before I switched to Orange that I could use and always had great service from VM.

PS - anyone considering taking a Virgin Media bundle may wish to know that Quidco are currently giving £150 cashback if you are a new cable customer. I've had an email from Quidco confirming the transaction has been tracked, so effectively the £75 for my V+ box will be coming back to me and I'm still £75 up after that!
