My parents paid £20 last year and are currently paying £18 pcm for line rental, unlimited calls 24/7 and the Medium broadband but only because I phoned up on their behalf and told them that they needed to give them a better deal or say goodbye. They offered free TV as well with no install charge but they have a Humax 9200T so they weren’t interested; they don’t have the space for the STB.

I now got TV (M pack)
Unlimited Phonecalls (24hours etc)
4mb BB (soon to be upgraded to 10Mb so he said)
all for £19.00 pm
Free installation and free wireless BB router. They also had £40 credit on my account. Installed on 17th this month.

Hi Iceboy,
If you've been with VM for more than a year or X years call them up and threaten to leave. Say that Sky or BT have given you an outstanding offer. The £19 pm deal i got only lasts a year.
The key thing these opeartors want is loyalty through retention. So if you say your mate or someone got a TV (L pack) , 24hr free phonecalls and 4mb BB for £19 (or less) ;-) Im sure they'll pull out all the stops to keep your business.
Good luck.

I PAID £29 FOR £11 PHONE 18 FOR 2MB broadband rang us asked better deal got both for 15.50 and they back dating a credit for this month. been with them 4 years on £29 robbing gits
#13
VM aren't robbers, SKY defo are robbing ***** though lol Been with VM for 7 years, last 3 years I've threaten to leave and everytime they have cut my bill and given me more, try that with Sky for 3 years and they'll let you leave:( I've got m8's you've tried it on with sky but they never seem to get same long lasting deals that I do with VM / ex TW.

I only have 4MB BB from Virgin and currently paying £9pm. I would ring them as they will renew your £10 deal no problem. :)

Just checked my latest bill, i',m getting 2mb Broadband, line rental _ unlimited landline calls to 01, 02 etc any time of day, virgin freeview for £19.95.

They did this deal due to the fallout between virgin & sky to compensate for loosing sky one etc.

I though I was getting a good deal until now.

Edi is paying £4.45 less than me & getting TV M ?

Edi are you getting unlimited calls on your deal`?

Cinmckec, excuse me for being thick but when you say you have 2 boxes do you mean that you can receive VM in two different rooms so that you can watch different things?? If you have 2 boxes did you have to buy one of them and have it installed first?

I pay £46 a month for XL tv and Disney, all calls free
at any time, and M broadband. I use VM phone line so no need to pay BT the rental
#18
can you add sky sports to any of these deals, what would cost be then?

Been with Virgin for over 5 years.

I used to pay £10 for 2mb and then upgraded to 4mb for £12.50.

However following the Virgin rebranding it reverted to £25 for 4mb BB.

Most of the time I wasnt even getting 4mb. I complained and got it discounted to £17 a month.

However, they actually billed me for £25 most the time. :x

Called them yesterday and they wouldnt offer me any discounts unless I took out additional services I did not need. The discount was worth £2.50 over the standalone price. Which was not really worth the hassle considering their billing systems are poor and you just end up getting overcharged.

In the end I mentioned I had another account at my parents address and I was paying £10 for 2mb. That seem to do the trick and I was advised if I sign a new 12month contract I would be put on the 2mb of £10 deal.

A downgrade when most people are getting upgrades but I cant justify paying £25 for (4mb) bandwidth I never use. And hopefully billing wont mess me about every month like they have in the past.

Cheers

Kam
