Can you get quidco if you sign up online and attach this to your account ?. The wording on the whole packages things is a little vague for me.

No cashback is payable on monthly SIM-only contracts and PAYG offers

the wife had this at £15 but with 300 mins, time to make a call I think, unlimited means 3000 texts normally

oh very tempting, cancelled my orange contract which runs out in 2 weeks and need something in pace of it. hmmmmmm

+ 97p delivery lol

i currently have a sim only deal with virgin and i pay £10 and recieve 300 txts and 300mins, however, struggle to use more than 150 minutes, so think this deal may suit me, will give em a bell tomorrow...heat and rep added.

Thanks for posting, just what Im looking for, no long term contract. Hot! Heat n rep added

Anyone know the GPRS charges are like?
#10
Voicemail is free and you also get 200 minutes to another virgin mobile if you are already a virgin customer i.e. have broadband, landline or virgin TV
#11
A minimum call duration of one minute for any call less than one minute in length will also apply from 22 September 2009

Was very tempted to take this offer up till I read the above. If you get through to voicemail for a lot of your calls you are limited to 200 calls/month before they start charging you. Not the best deal for everyone.
#12
Im now going to go on this deal as i find it is absolutley tremendous.

I used to have the 200 minutes and 200 tects for £10
#13
this is a joke. i recently cancelled as i was running out of texts with this sim plan ( within the last month ) and they've changed it.
#14
Great deal but virgin mobile coverage in my area is a joke and highly unreliable. If you have good coverage in your area then jump in and go for it.
#15
I'm already on this "Virgin Media 10 200+200" but wondering what will happen will i just unlimited thrown on automatically or will i have to ask for it, just check my balance and still says i'm on 200 texts deal.

Anyone on a sim only now will need to change over to get a new tariff, it won't do it automatically. Also customer service is excellent.

Data is 30p per day for a usage of 25mb

Virgin £15 for 500 mins and unlimited texts is an excellent offer.

Virgin £22 + Unlimited web access is very good too.

Hot stuff this!

But I don't think you can get date on this contract, I'm on a monthly contract for £10 and I just phoned them and they said for web access I have to go to an £18 / month contract !

i was on the 300 mins 300 texts for £15 a month just upgraded to 300 mins unlimited texts and data for £18

you can dial 789 from your phone (10p for entire call) but dont press option 2 to change your tarrif cause only gives you options of more expensive ones instead press 0 to goto customer services and they will transfer you to sales to action it, took me less then 5 mins on the phone and within the hour my tarrif was changed :)

Hi onlyme is that a monthly rolling contract (as per the op) or an 18 monther ? Regards Roger
#24
Me again, I'm sorry to labour this but I don't understand the Virgin website - (no change there then) - I hardly use my phone, 50 minutes a month and about 30 texts, I can make do with the basic £10 deal (which I have) but if I want web access I have to get the £18 / month deal ... ie an extra £8 ... but on the site it says "Unlimited web access for 30p a day You only pay on the days that you access the Internet from your phone" ... so is that the extra £8 / month ('cause you cannot get web without paying the extra £8) PLUS 30p a day every time you go online ? ... that could be another £100 a year - I must be missing something ! ... brain cells probably !

rolling 30 day
#26
lol, sent me an e-mail saying I was declined (as I can hardly afford £10 a month ).
#27
i just got this and checked my balance which stated i have 300 mins and 3000 texts. gonna have to phone them back to get it changed
also noticed i have a credit allowance for £125 so be careful incase you get this for your kids!!

BEWARE if you getting this as the limit must be on it. but the lowest limit i was told is £50.think this could be problem for some people who go over their mins and find they have to pay out extra for this. I have just cancelled as cannot trust my teenager to stop when his mins and txts are done lol.

Just check with your friends and family on T Mobile what they're reception is like. Virgin use T Mobile's network so the reception of both companies is exactly the same. You can also use the Virgin sim card in a T Mobile phone without having to unlock in first.

In Newcastle the reception is excellent, in Sunderland it is very poor (mainly due to magnetic radiation caused by the number of silver shell-suits in the area) and in Middlesbrough there is no reception due to the SMOG pollution :giggle:

It does say "During September......" etc. Does this mean come October it goes back to 200Mins/200Texts??

Also noted the bit about "minimum call duration of one minute for any call less than one minute in length will also apply from 22 September 2009" - that's new/worse! Overall though still quite a good deal for 30 day contract SIM.

There's no 30p/day fee if you take the £18 + Unlimited web access deal.

But you don't need to pay an extra £8, you can add web access for 30p each day you use it to the £10 tariff.

Guys,

This deal saves me £5 on my current PAYG tariff and I get untld texts anytime instead of off - peak.

I've just logged onto my account and it says my tariff is "Virgin 10 200+200 AA"

It is a bit concerning to be honest.

Anyone received their sim? Confirm this deal is as it seems?

I've emailed virgin just waiting for them to get back to me.
#33
I bought this sim for my daughter and logging on the to the account online she does indeed have 200mins and 3000 texts.

I like the fact I can keep track of the account online, making sure she dosent go overboard!

Have you registered the sim card? I still haven't recieved it. My main worry is I'll change my network to virgin, keep my number and they will revert back to their original deal...leaving me up **** creek

Well she has had it since Saturday and have just logged on the online account and it now says "Virgin 10 200+200 AA ", but before it had the 200 voice + 3000 text??

So whats happening there?
#36
I switched my wife's PAYG to this yesterday, her PAYG credit is transferred as a balance to this account.

The UNLIMITED TXT offer is available until end of SEPT, but does mean you get 200mins + unlimited txts every month until you cancel.

Also, if you are a VM customer you get free calls to Virgin Mobiles!! This is ideal as I am on the £10 a month 300 TXTs + 300 MINs contract from a few years ago, so the wife can effectively call me and chat for free. (I need to change my tarrif to this one if I want that benefit).

The UNLIMITED TXTs are 3000, shows you clearly when you go into your web account to check.
#37
i have this on my spare phone., 200 mins unlimited txt and cause im a virgin media customer i get unlited virgin to virgin also
#38
i thought this was a great deal considering im paying £15 a month for a sim only on orange and i get 300 mins unlimited texts...

I called orange to cancel and they said they would offer me a better deal than the virgin one..
I can't believe it but they gave me 600 minutes, unlimited texts AND unlimited landline calls for £9.80!

Try calling up other companies i.e. o2 orange etc and see what they can offer you.
#39
Ive just swapped to this from their £10 sim only where I got 300 minutes and 300 texts.

This new one is great and it also looks like you get 3000 texts plus 200 minutes plus an extra allowance if you call Virgin telephone numbers (a separate allowance) - excellent value!

Ordered the £18 Internet inclusive one.
Thanks OP.
Heat and Rep coming your way :-)
