Woohoo best customer service - poor network coverage.

It says that it does not support VOIP, now is this a case of it really does not support it or does it just not want to support? Because I can't think of a single reason why it couldn't support it.
#3
Wait a second...

wasnt Virgin rated the WORST customer service last year? Or does that just count for home broadband?

Virgin customer service is terrible

6. VoIP: Virgin Mobile Broadband does not support Voice-over-Internet Protocol.

WT*!?!

The basic T-Mobile Broadband deal states the same but I have never had a problem using VOIP. Sometimes MSN won't log in but I just then go to the Web Messenger and it works fine.[

In my experience Virgin media customer service is pants but Virgin Mobile CS is very good.

Virgin advertises 'unlimited' broadband which is a lie. They cap the service to less than 50% if you download big files. I am with Virgin right now and have been since it was Telewest. I pay £9 per month but I am now changing to O2 for £12.50 for a true unlimited service and no capping. Voted cold.

Decent competitive price, and the only thing missing from their lineup.

It's weird, but they sent me an online questionnaire and I mentioned that I liked their mobile phone service, but since they didn't do mobile broadband I had to go elsewhere.

It's almost like they listened!

I was changing my (home) broadband ~4-5 months ago from VM - I had 1Mb for 15quid now I have from o2 up to 16Mb for 10quid (it doesnt matter isnt possible achieve full speed but sometimes if i find 700MB file it takes ~15minutes that was not possible on VM)

i can't believe that virgin and best customer service would be in the same sentance. virgin are a bunch of idiots!! plus my internet never works.

You really have to remember that Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile are two separate entities. It was the mobile company iirc that won the award. Virgin Media won a slap on the face with a wet fish, which was way more than they deserved.

Virgin Media is NTL rebranded.

While I was with NTL for several years, their Customer Service never elicited feelings of elation from me. OTOH, I think I came very close to considering Prozac after having to deal with them.

This, however, seems a Virgin Mobile offer

I make no comments on the offer, just note that (according to The Inquirer) if you exceed the allowance you may have to pay 15 GBP for the privilege.

See
http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/10/01/broadband-virginity-lost

as far as the VoIP issue, VPN may be the answer in a corporate environment, however, with 3GB allowance....

Unless you are on their "Gold" tier, 20mbps, £37 pm. Then you get capped to a QUARTER of the speed.

Nope, cold here as well.

Yes, i agree, virgin broadband customer service is awful. Virgin holidays was great, as was the mobile

Having spent 35 mins tonight to virgin CS on our second call, in addition to emailing them - which goes to show its not just foreign call centres who can find English to be a difficult language.

The only people who would vote Virgin CS to be good must be Branson's mum.
