billy,
is this the 'mobitix' special offer?
It says tickets only available upto December 12th at the moment on the website.
Where did you find this info?

This isn't mobitix, this is just the new price for their Advance tickets, so you can buy them at the station too (in advance). Travel is from 14 December (which is a Sunday, and very often the cheapest fares aren't available on Sundays)

Personally, I prefer www.nationalexpresseastcoast.co.uk as the system they use for booking UK Train tickets is much more user friendly, and these fares can be found there.

So is this going to be a permanant pricing scheme? sounds great if thats true!
#9
These things do my head in why is there never a way of finding the cheapest fare! It's always dates and times.

yeah i agree - i always use that site for finding train tickets, their search engine is brilliant!

better link here, gives 10% discount to some fares: http://www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com/Special-offers/Online-discount/

I wonder - can this virgin offer be used in conjunction to the first great western £5 voucher offer? (http://www.fgw5pounds.co.uk/)
#11
yeah thanks Billy that link is good for train times etc.

At the moment I can pretty much travel any day at any time (lots of holidays to use up) but can never get cheap tickets from Lancaster to London.

Yes it can be used in conjunction with the First Great Western £5 voucher offer - well it worked for me - London to Birmingham New Street return - total £5

cheers OP. If I could give you a 1000 degrees I would.

Just got family (2 adults, 2 kids) from London - Liverpool return 29/12 - 02/01 for £27.20.

One of my kids is under 5, but paid the child fare for a guaranteed seat reservation. Last of the bog spenders I am.

I'm afraid it can't be used now, the FGW £5 offer expired on November 6th. Sorry.
#17
It seems that FGW must have extended the deadline. In the T&Cs it does say the offer expires on November 6th, but I hadn't heard or seen anything to suggest otherwise. In that case I might have to use my code, and there I was thinking I'd run out of time.
#18
As I said in my post #15 First Western accepted my code.

Try your code, you've got nothing to lose!
#19
I have tried my code, and much to my surprise it works. I'm not gonna complain though!

Have updated the offer to show that!
