My first scanner was a Visioneer Paperport 6000 which cost me £270+vat from dabs in 1996 :lol:

Correct. Vista will not run the twain drivers for this unit. You'd have to keep your eyes on the visioneer support/download site if you were to buy it.

I correct the latter part of my my last statement:

From the Visioneer engineering support website:

This product is classified as END OF LIFE


There will be no Vista twain support.

For the low price they go at these days it may be a better bet to go for a combi printer/scanner.

I agree. I have a Brother dcp-120c and it equals the specs of this, plus it prints and copies into the bargain.

Cold for me, separate scanners are obsolete.

I got a scanner for £20 from Staples 7 years ago... it still works today with no problems.
