how good would this be as PC monitor (not for gaming its for a kids bedroom) just general surfing and word processing

looks nice, but is not wall mountable

I've criticised a lot of this vistron stuff from Ebuyer due to their continual habit of 'altering' review and comments on their site, but must admit, this looks VERY good value... heat added!

I rate Vistron, I purchased the 42" version of this TV "Vistron Sense" and its brilliant, 1080p full HD, and the picture qualitys is good, great when watching Blueray.

not sure what HD edition this is, but Im only writing the above as I was a lttle worried before I made my initial purchase but I'm glad I took the plunge and tried them.

Since seeing my TV several friends have purchased Vistron LCD TV's from ebuyer.

Hope this helps.

Voted hot . Shame it's not wall mountable - I would buy it if it was.

I'm surprised this hasn't moved to Hot status sooner. It's a good looking, well featured 19" with Freeview for £130. Most 19" LCDs I see at this price are older and don't have digital tuners.

we were interested to, and also would of bought if wall mountable.......same hey !

One of the reviewers states it's wall mountable, I suggest someon phone ebuyer to check
#9
It is wall mountable but you can't take the base off, so it would look very wierd.
I bought one of these for 115 a couple of months ago. I rang up about an email they sent me + the salesman tried to add VAT after but did it wrong and I got it for the VAT free price instead.

I am thinking about asking them to take it back to check it though as the picture quality, especially on VGA, is terrible.
#10
No HDMI? What about DVI? Even though it's cheap I'd avoid any TV without at least one of those connections.
#11
Excuse my ignorance but I see by looking at the picture of the back of the TV there is an RF socket for plugging in an aerial but there is no mention of it in the description. Is it called somthing else these days?
#12
I bought one of these a few months ago and returned it the same day.

The picture quality was very poor... Ok, it is cheap and you "gets what you pays for" I suppose - but to me it wasn't even worth the £130 or so I paid for it!

Oh... and it did have holes on the back for wall mounting!
#13
I've got the 15" non digital version, paid £76 15 months ago. I am pleased with it, although the picture is on the dim side, the spec does state 300cd/m2 so that's to be expected.

The fact that it has a freeview tuner built in means that you can assume one is there..

A word of warning. The panel is actually meant for computer monitors and hence is 16:10 rather than 16:9. So you will get small black bars at the top and bottom.

1440x900 is 16:10.

Wow, good spot!

Has anyone actually bought one? :whistling:

Check out the reviews on AV Forums. These things died on everyone after 2 weeks. They submitted bad reviews but ebuyer didn't publish them. Beware.

That would be great, definitely deserving of some rep ;-) I love bribery :p

I'm still looking around and still considering this (and the Polaroid 22" posted on here). Also for bedroom use and I'll hook up my PS2 for DVD playback and Freeview will do me for TV viewing.

I will stick some photos of what it really looks like aswell, knowing ebuyer they give you a picture of one thing and send you another.

Cant argue with that price though been looking for a cheapish one for a while now, its a bit smaller than i wanted but for that price am a sucker for it. plus it looks very simalir to my Samsung in the living room
#26
Yeah, their Sense sets look suspiciously like Samsung products...
#27
Would ebuyer raise their prices back up or do they usually only drop? Still deciding whether to get this or not but don't want to make a rush my decision :(

Ok my opinon on it,

The remote is so weird it works and then it doesnt, its rather annoying but am sure you could buy one of those remotes that work on all tv i suppose.

The sound is bit bland speakers are tiny but good for my bedroom

Picture is ok, took a while to get the colours looking normal.

overall it was ok for the price i got it for, and for my bedroom its good.
