That was the same conclusion I have just reached. It looks very similar to a Traveler 5MP camera I have which I am very impressed with. I'm just toying with the idea of ordering a couple of these as gifts for Xmas...

Thanks again,

I have this camera, and for a while it used to be my main camera. All in all, it's very decent and for this price it's great.

It records video, but at very poor quality 320x240ish, so not best, but still far better than most mobile phone videos.

The clarity of pictures on it is fine and you can print out 5x7 pics without any pixelation. Voted hot. I used mine for about 2-3years and it never missed a beat. Just make sure you use a couple of decent nimh rechargables to get the best out of it, as it's not quite as energy efficient as some more recent camera.

Luckily, I just got in there,
I was waiting for my sister to get back in touch about if she wanted one,
to place the order at the same time, but I couldn't wait any longer.
There were 25 in stock 2 hrs ago, I got the jitters and placed
mine when it got down to 5 left in stock.

Vivitar is the worst camera i have ever owned, the picture on my 5 MP one is terrible,so much so i have it stuck in a cupboard and bought another HP one where the picture quality and ease of use is FAR better.

I had a problem with it once and took it into a camera shop.i queried the picture quality and was told that Vivitar lenses are not the best at all:-(

Just a heads up!

I just read in the paper today that the camera company folded so any returns through the manufacturer are going to be a no no!
