Free Lowepro camera case as well. See where it says "product promotions" below the camera. Click on where it says "on selected digital cameras". Note: vivitar are listed under "other" rather than vivitar

perfect for a camera that can be lost and not worried about just what i needed

pretty gud for students!

Would be great as a chew toy for my dog, other than that not much use for it (even a student would chuck it).

Vivitar are without a doubt the WORST digital camera manufacturer in the world. You'd be better off buying a 2nd hand 5-6yr old 2MP sony/Fuji (and that's no joke, my ancient Fuji 2600 2MP camera took better quality pics than a 7MP Vivitar I bought last year).

So, as you may have guessed, it's a cold vote from me.

I'd have to agree i was better off using my camera phone yes its cheap but other than that your feel you have been ripped off theres a cheap GE Camera play.com are selling for around 55quid which has been getting good reviews tho for a nice cheap camera.

Vivitar cameras really are bad.

Produces absolutely AWFUL quality photos.

Their speed of battery consumption is incredible as well. Don't even think about using anything other than rechargeable batteries.

Don't buy this.

I bought this as a cheapy holiday cam that could get bashed a little without worry.
I have to be honest and say it was soo awful it was untrue. The shots were all very milky and the auto temp setings were so bad that everything had a massively blue overtone.
This is great as a kids first camera or for when they go on camp or something but its only real use outside of at is as a door wedge.
Good luck all

Vivitar does not make any photo equipment they just label and distribute generic stuff. They made their name with the distribution of professional high quality Series 1 lenses and flash equipment in the 80's. Since they have gone digital it's just cheap and awful.

Megapixel is a clever marketing trick. It is the software in the camera that makes the photos.

If its a cheap camera you want - try one of these (availble in silver/blue/pink) got one for my daughter at XMAS & for what it is the pics are very good indeed
