Similar to the black one posted the other day which got quite hot. This is the silver version at the same price, sold by amazon and supplied by offers4u.

It may be of use to someone.

Thanks RYU I know it is gonna get the usual, its a piece of junk, read the reviews etc etc, but for £20 a great deal for a camera for the kids or for my father in laws £65 birthday present as he has never had a digital camera so I am sure he will be happy with it.

That's quite a specific birthday present amount! Especially as this is only £20. Still you can buy him 3.;)

Heat too.

I think these are fine for playing about with. Not everyone wants to be Alfred Hitchcock or film everything that happens in life. I know several people that are either to forgetful to take out expensive camcorders to events or to frightened of getting them stolen or damaged. With one of these it's their on the odd occasion that you need it.

We all know the pros and cons of this type camera.

For its likely use, this is hot.

Why buy something that will not do what you want it to do-save money and spend it on something else!
I would not give this even as a gift-don't want them cursing me everytime they used it. As for kids forget it if they are over 5!

Can't believe anyone would pay £20 for this when its only 720p and 5 megapixel. Spend £200 and get a decent one instead.*

How does this compare to a high end phone camera? Say an Iphone4 or a HTC Desire?

:D

For £19.99. An excellent webcam with SD memory.

If you can find a use for it it's worth every penny.

Vivitar used to be a respected budget lens & flash manufacturer back in the day, a bit like Sigma are these days.

Of course the Vivitar name probably goes on anyones rubbish these days.
