Cheap but read the reviews!
#2
the reviews are not that bad and i would imagine this would be good for kids as a starter cam?

I agree, perfect the kids to mess about with.

can't grumble too much for £20.

over £40 in Dixons, grabbed one for my boy, thanks

got one for my o/h (he wanted a hd camcorder for some reason i dont remember why) if its rubbish i will just give it to the kids.

If you're going to fill in the best light, and not move around a lot - this will be good.

For £20 though i'd much rather a non HD camera. Quality will be much better (resolution does not equal quality!)

Also £10 muvi cams are crap, the better clones around £30 are much better.

I can't imagine this would be much better than HD recording on my phone.

I've had a couple of Vivitar products in the past and I wouldn't even burden my kid with them. I hope this product is better!

Good price though, if it actually does what it says on the tin!

For twenty notes, its not a bad price, but it seems from the reviews its more of a kids toy or introductary camera and not one for those who want top end results.

I heartily agree! the Dad-in-law bought a Vivitar camera. It was the nastiest, most user-hostile chunk of electronic scrap ever to be put in a box and sold.

Think of the nastiest mobile phone camera you can, halve the quality then make the user controls utterly illogical.

Then make it worse and badge it Vivitar.

No, I didn't like it very much - but you could have guessed that, couldn't you?

That jessops thingy wouldn't fit in my pocket/carrier bag/suitcase.

Vivitar make awful goods......awful awful awful.

Even at £20, i would stay away. Its not even about the quality of the video. This product will just break on you..end of story.

At £20 it's a bargain and if It doesn't work 6 months down the line I'm sure amazon will sort it so I'm not worried I've ordered one, I bought a Toshiba HD pocket camera at around £90 and that's not great so at £20 holes I will give it a go. I'm just wondering if the quality will be good enough for some home porn movies x)

cant go wrong at this price
#17
I beg to differ

Will your quality be good enough? The camera will be completely useless indoors but is an absolute bargain for casual outdoor use.

Not so good now as the price is now £52.

Thanks. I ordered one this afternoon. We go camping over the hols and as you can imagine camping doesn't feel right without a few beers. So this will be a bit of fun to have and not too expensive if anything happens to it. ;)
