14 megapixels in a cheap camera is just overkill, the lens is going to be the weak link.

3 x AAA batteries...that's handy, when you buy/charge them in multiples of 2!

Rubbish,

WE just won a comp on Redsnapper using a 14MP Fuji film compact camera.

All 14MP compact are NOT all the same!! It all depends on the size of the senser.

I use Pro gear also and am published so I think I can vouch for your comment being wrong.

We used the Fuji FZ510\500 14MP 10x Op zoom if interested.

what a totally pointless comment, he didn't say ALL 14mp cameras are the same, did you actually read what he said or were you too eager to post your picture link?

he said "14 megapixels in a cheap camera is just overkill" which is true, you can't compare your Fuji to a Vivitar, only people who present on ideal world think Vivitar cameras are good cameras

I did my reasearch too late,i bought a Vivitar camera years ago and then found the lens's are no good in them, same with Praktica too.

Its not a pointless comment,a and yes I read it....................your a totally pointless commentator on this particular subject.

My point was on the 14MP senser in any compact camera. .................not just a cheap Vivitar

And don't you dare patronize my level of education. Arrogant Imbecile.

again you don't seem to get it, if you're going to brag about your level of education you really should learn the difference between "your" and "you're" because you've just made yourself look like a tool

Well actually it isnt rubbish. As you said it depends on the size of the sensor, and a cheap camera is very likely to have a small cheap sensor. Also the lens quality is important.

Fuji make some decent cameras, it could be your camera is top of its class but you dont say how much it cost or anything.

Also I think you won as much for the composition as anything else, it is an attention grabbing picture even in the low resolution displayed on that website. Read any camera magazine and they will tell you sensor size is important at high resolutions like 14MP.
