Just upgraded with Vodafone on a £31 a month deal with Galaxy S3 and was told that they have a deal with lots of employers and if you work for one of them then you get 20% off your monthly line rental so my £31 tariff became £24.80.

You can get 10% off your tariff if your price plan is less than £20 a month.

Unfortunately there's no list of participating employers. I work for the NHS so i know that they're one of them.

If you're due for an upgrade then it might be worth a quick call to them or perhaps drop a message on their forums to check if your company is included.

Hope this helps someone.

only valid via Vodafone online or instore, not valid via other sites for a Vodafone contract.

You can't use mine personally but if you can join the Vodafone Employee scheme then you can add up to 5 friends and family.

No offence but i'd rather save them for actual family & friends. Already added 2 and got a few coming up for renewal in the next few months so will probably use my allowance. Sorry.

I'm sure some other HUKDers may be able to help.

SSE(Southern Electric are part of that group) should be on the list, I know as I had an interview there recently and they had the poster up in the canteen.

how do you apply for the reduction if you work for the nhs?

and if you've taken out a contract and you stop working for an eligible company does the discount get taken off?

There are certain conditions do the reduction such as you must apply it in the first 30days of a new contract or upgrade by going to the link theres a form you can fill in.

Not sure what happens once you leave, how would they know? Might be worth calling for an 'unofficial' friendly chat with them and see what they say.

Upgrade team deals are rubbish it retentions who give the best discount u can get much lower than 20 percent off
#13
You also can't apply this discount if you've already had discount. For example, I had a 50% discount from the retentions team, where I wasn't able to then apply this on top.
#14
I've tried to join my company to this scheme and they were really unhelpful. Spoke to head office and then the advantage team and received some of the rudest emails I've ever seen. Gave up.

Not sure Vodafone is the network it once was. The wife is on Three and gets fantastic signals everywhere whereas mine is patchy at best.
#15
Vodafone have been the worst network I have been with. I would not sign up with them again so rude and unhelpful put the phone down on me plenty times. Sent letters to say I have a problem with text messages and taking ages to send up to 52 hours been worst and get a letter back saying I have a 12 month contact so I can't cancel my contact.
#16
Can this be added to contracts not bought through vodafone? obviously it will need to be a contract with vodafone, but say purchase from phones 4 u?
#17
Just did this thru my company 20% off, sweet. Plus they don't check if u leave that company within ur contract length just when u re-new.
#18
You can still negotiate slightly better deals over the phone, the Vodafone agents will try very hard to give a discount better than this scheme. Worth a try first before opting with this scheme.
#19
I got this for our two phones a couple of months ago for a 2 year contract, very sweet deal. The customer services team were brilliant when I had to contact them.

I have been with vodafone for years, they have always been a good provider in my experience

yes what wrong with that? If I was working for one of those companies I would do the same for few people who would ask me, why you are here? to save some money, help others bargain hunters like you?, I got my samsung s3 with tablet deal on vodafone for 36£ so what wrong in saving 20% (by the way delivery drop the parcel through bathroom window and I have never received the tablet, still fighting with carphonewarehouse for replacement)
#21
same 20% with Orange &T-Mobile, called orange perk
#22
Would this interfere with a cashback redemption contract though?

I left it too long when I took out my e2save contract (would have saved £6 per month here) but my contract after cashback is 99p and didn't want to risk it. Would be interested to know if anyone has done this in combination with a redemption deal.
#23
Forgot to mention only valid via Vodafone online or instore, not valid via other sites for a Vodafone contract. Still works out cheaper even tho Vodafone direct is dearer per mth.

I have too much dignity and self respect than to beg a stranger to save a couple of quid a month
banned#25
not checked the link but is it available on the sim only 12months contracts? would have been good to know a few weeks back as my dad's O2 24month contract ended and he's gone for their 12 month £26/month unlim mins, unlim txt, 1gb data contract, the Vodafone £20.50/month(so ~£16/months) 900mins, 1gb, can't remember texts would have been good as the 900mins would have been enough and saved like £10/month.

edit: just noticed the 9months half price offer, that would have been cheaper than this offer(you can't combine the 2 offers right?).

sure mate, I did not beg anyone just ask if someone can help me to save some money, but if you have a problem with that your business, no need to send stupid comments, If I had opportunity to help someone to save some quids I would do that, If I see good deal I am sharing, this is what this community is about, keep your comments to yourself and don't troll it
#27
Wish I work for one of those companies and helped you ! So many morons here
#28
Not sure if it the same as Orange, but it only applies to a retail purchase so you can't use the discount through P4U or CPW or other places
#29
Sainsburys are also part of this deal for anyone working for them at the moment, think it's to do with the fact that all our company phones are with them.
#30
Really that's good!
banned#31
well its unlikely I'll get answer as I didn't get one to my last question but still, if you use this will quidco pay out(£there's £100 on the £20.50/month 12month sim only)? oh and what are the chances of being able to mix all 3 offer(9months half price, quidco and this)?
#32
Retensionss have just given me a £14 off a £34 tarrif to make £20pm which is reasonable. I was hoping I could apply this as well. Unfortunately now!
#33
Please let me know if Royal Mail, Sainsburys or Lotus are part of the employee advantage programme? They are not on the list but the representative in the vodafone shop said they are included, just want clarification please.
#34
D you need to submit the form for you and your 5 friends at the same time? Which means all 6 of you need to buy the phone more or less at the same time is that right?
