I'm a Vodafone customer and due for an upgrade. I've been looking for deals on Nokia e72 or Blackberry Bold 9700. Vodafone offered me the following deal that I thought others might be interested in. Not amazing (24 months :( ), but it seems phone deals on high end phones are few and far between. Please back up cold voting with where there is a better price with the same terms (even though it'll bug me!).

Phone: Nokia E72 (2 year warranty) - FREE
Contract Term: 24 Months
Monthly Cost: £25 inc. 17.5% VAT
Minutes: 600 XNetwork
Texts: Unlimited
Internet/Data: Unlimited
Delivery: Free next working day

Where is there a better deal for a high end business class phone then?
#8
the question is are you gonna spend more than 50 quid in two years on phone credit . . . and i imagine for most ppl the answer will be of course!!

Fair point:

£319.63 inc. Delivery from www.handtec.co.uk

£25.00 * 24 months = £600
£600 - £319.63 = £280.37
£280.37 / 24 months = £11.68

£11.68 / month for 24 months for:
600 mins
Unlimited Text
Unlimited Data

Not all that bad!

I suppose that this might be a hot deal for anyone who wanted a Nokia E72 on a 24 month contract from Vodafone. However, just because a specific deal cannot be beaten does not make it hot.

In any case, I couldn't find this deal on the link posted so I assume that it's a retentions deal which is unlikely to be available to everyone.

COLD, I Got SAMSUNG OMNIA when it was released.

600 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, stop the clock for 25 quid.

At the time it was a 40 pound price plan, but get a 15 pound discount.

this is 18 months!

so cold

My 18 month contract with t-mobile ran out at the start of Dec and I made the decision that i wouldnt be tied in again to a lengthy contract 18 or /24 months. So bought the Sony Ericsson W995 from phones 4 u @ £199.95. It's available on Orange and Voda (which i got) they come unbranded and unlocked so any sim from any network will work in them. Phoned voda to tell them that i was thinking of going with 3 as they do a sim only (30 day contract) with 300 minutes unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £15 mth. So Voda matched it for me as i would rather be with them than 3.

so more than happy to now have a recent phone, which i would really recommend ,and a tariff that suits my pocket, (£15 a month inc vat) which is on a 30 day rolling contract & has enough minutes texts and internet (500mb) ......

happy times....:whistling:

so cold a fcuk

ont only that who in there right mind wants a 24 month contract, 18 months is bad

This is a total crap deal..
I am with Vodafone and as an upgrade customer, i got it for 22.72 quid per month on a 12 months contract with 600 min, unlimited text and internet plus free VF to VF calls.. and the phone is totally free

22.72 x 12 = 272 minus VF gave me 30 quid credit for late delivery so in total it makes me pay them about 242 quid...

And the best thing is i can upgrade in 10 months time..

Tht what we call a deal buddy ;-)

That sounds like one hell of a deal.

With this kind of offer, anyone could sell the phone (currently over £250 on ebay) and get 12 months of free calls, texts and internet!

Whoa when did you get this deal?

I am eligible for an upgrade for my contract ends this month - I thought if I asked for a E72 I would have to get a longer contract than my current 12 months. In asking for about a E71 and quoting what Network 3 were offering they simply said "yeah we can't match that deal" ...

Will give it another shot come closer to when my contract ends though I should of tried again in December.

There's no need to refer to people that take out contracts longer than 12 months as "Stupid".

I am sorry but i am very upset with this trend of 2 years contract..before Iphone we had no such trend but nowadays every phone (even a third grade and cheap phone) is released on 24 months contract.. even people like us who've bin on 12 month contracts for ages these Customer service people push us and give examples of people going for 24 months contract...

According this post, you pay a bit (albeit not much) more: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/559556/nokia-e72-sim-free-unlocked-deliver/showpost.php?p=7272863&postcount=15
Btw, I also stick to 12 months contracts, as I hate to be tied into 18+month contracts. Doesn't mean I would call others who are on them stupid tho, esp. as sometimes this is sometimes the more economical way to get a decent handset.

I didn't mean to offend anyone and the link you quote was the price when i got my upgrade. as i mentioned in my post that my delivery was delayed (due to some fault at VF end) therefore i changed my plan and they reduced it further down..

btw thanks for pointing that out ..
