Vodafone finally offers Blackberry service to PAYG customers! And it's free until 30 June 2011, afterwards £5/month. Call 40035 free from your Vodafone pay as you go Blackberry to get this hot deal!

I have a Storm from my old contract and a spare vodafone payg sim card, so I popped the sim in the phone, called 40035 and grabbed the deal. Now I am enjoying my Strom again! Missed getting my emails via BB!

Oh, don't forget to switch your phone off and back on after ordering the service. Enjoy!!!

Probably they will not offer this service to pay monthly customers, but no harm in trying.

I think this deal is available for existing VF customer already as mentioned on the site.
so one can just buy a SIM with some credit on and then ask for BIS on PAYG.
Calling/Texting rates are quite expensive though.

heat added! My mates been waiting for vodafone to do a pay as you go bb plan, just told her and shes adding it as I type! She got the bb pack for tmobile which was free for 6 months, got the phone unlocked not realising vodafone didnt support bb pay go at the time now she can actually use her normal vodafone sim card in the phone and use bb at the same time. Great info! thanx

Does this include Blackberry Messenger as well as emails?
#24
According to Vodafone site, you can chat online with BlackBerry Messenger, post Facebook updates, send tweets from Twitter and even swap stories and more by email.
#25
It doesn't say what the data allowance is for browsing.
I hope e-mail is unlimited though, will find out once I get a new VF SIM.

I think it's 500MB, but that's more than enough for Blackberry! You'll have trouble reaching 150mb in a month i'd say, I'm on orange BB right now and use around 80-100mb.

This seems like an awesome deal if you want to experience the Blackberry data plan for free for a couple of months! Have some heat (:

500MB is more than enough, My BB on T-mobile is giving me 1GB per month, but have never exceeded beyond 250MB. This VF free BIS will be handy though until middle of next month.

Also is it true that you can send free sms's via blackberry messenger if you have BIS setup? this is what vodafone mentioned over the phone?
#29
with BIS, BBM should be free too.
So yes you can send free messages via BBM.
#30
Thanks for the heads up on this, I was just about to buy 6 months BIS on T-mobile for £20. Just set this up, works perfectly. Can confirm BBM works fine, great for sending pictures and voice messages for free too.Have as much heat as I can muster!

are you able to browse the internet with this free BIS deal without being charged? e.g. browsing google, signing in on ebuddy etc.. i assumed this would all be free under the 500mb allowance but vodafone customer services have just confirmed that this is not the case and that I will be charged? is this true? thanks guys
#32
I just tried ordering a free VF sim online but I received an email saying the sims are out of stock :-(

Yh I know that, but I thought it must activate 3g internet on the sim for BIS to work. Thats why this will enable 3g on any phone.
