This just might be the Deal of the YEAR!

The company is revamping its monthly payment plans to include unlimited Internet access for everyone without the usual £7.50 add-on fee. Now, when they say unlimited they really mean a 500MB fair usage policy but its still enough for casual surfing every day.

The price plans start at £25 per month and run to £40 per month, the latter coming with unlimited texts, unlimited landline calls or unlimited calls to other Vodafone users.

Today with our new price plans Vodafone customers have the confidence to browse for as long as they need with no extra costs when checking their e-mail, visiting their favourite social networking sites or making a final bid on eBay.

Does that include existing contracts? I'm on a £20 a month/12 month contract with them already you see and that would be perfect for setting up email on...

I think if you get it upto 25 pounds they might give you free browsing. Give them a call, might be worth a try!
banned#4
* Streaming three 90 second video clips from YouTube would be the equivalent to (=) 4.5MB
* Download one 3 minute movie trailer from Odeon = 3MB
* Browse 50 Internet pages = 1MB
* Find your way to the restaurant using Google Maps = 0.6 MB
* Check for updates on Facebook and upload a message = 0.1MB
* Check your emails and reply = 0.5MB
* Read breaking news on the BBC (4 pages) = 0.1MB
* Place the winning bid on eBay (10 pages) = 0.25MB

They do!!

online 25 and change the bolt on (£25 a month)

Hopefully other networks will follow suit... o2 charging £7.50 for 200mb! Even if it was free UP TO 200MB that would be brilliant.

If Voda can do it for free, so can the others... So this should heat up the competition.

will i get it as an existing customer on a £25 plan?
#11
so, will i get a msg or something about this? or can i just start surfing for free right now?
#12
As a recent convert to Voda after 10yrs with Orange, this is great news for me. Last week it was free unlocking of my mobile, now it's free web surfing. Can't wait for next week

Yeah let's hope they're forced to follow.
#16
probably Vodafone trying to entice people to stay in light of the O2 iPhone deal, and impending new model next month. Good find!
banned#17
Maybe threaten them to leave, usually they might give you something to stay with them. Tell them some other service provider is giving a better deals on web surfing,...... Just make up something!
#18
Waiting for O2's response :)

All this cellphone stuff confuses me :?

A few weeks ago I got an LG Viewty on a £40 per month contract via Mobiles To Your Door.
Would I be eligible for this or would it only apply to contracts starting from 1st May?

I can't remember the name of my contract but it allows 500 mins and 500 texts per month.

So far I have stayed away from anything internet related with my new phone as I have no idea what additional charges would be incurred.

Sorry about my naive questions but computers are my are, not cellphones :?

Any advice/relevant links would be appreciated.

is it worth ringing to speak to someone else , can not threaten to leave still have three months contract to run
#22
I wonder if this will work on the Voda SIM only contract deals?

e.g. £25 p.m for 750mins, unlimited texts 30 days notice contract.

McDeals wants to know what browing is?

I think when you have a month left they will probably call you and ask you to extend it by giving you a better offer.

All I get at the mo is a £1 fee for upto 15MB

Thanks for the heads up though OP

its about time vodafone started rewarding their customers more, i have been with them for years and have always thought hat everyone else got better deals. I only stayed as I got pretty much what I wanted each time I threatened to leave
#27
Hot from me... I always end up with a huge bill when I go camping and can't find the site after a few sherberts! Maps on the mobile would do quite nice!

Yeh, I got told the same. I'm on a £35/m 18m cotract and get no data allowance at all. I've only been with Voda 2m so can't make any idle threats of leaving. I was told that if I extended my 18m contract to a 24m contract, then I would get the £7.50/m charge waived and have the 500mb allowance. Also, I would only be eligible for an upgrade 3m prior to end of contract, so that means keeping my N95 8GB for 21m. Never kept a phone longer than 9m with the useage I do, so likely it will go wrong before 21m old.

Not such a good deal anymore for someone in my position.
#29
I'm just impressed by the cheek of calling 500MB "unlimited".

"New unlimited internet, 14kb fair use limit"
banned#30
No need to find wifi spots anymore or even mobile phones with wifi. Although wifi would still have some advantage on this but wouldnt be that much noticable!
#31
hi, is this on sim only deals aswell?

But what if you were a new customer....it would be great then!

I'm an existing customer and I am a bit peaved that I cant get this but I wouldnt say it was a cold offer.

Voted Hot.

Vote should be on the deal, if you cant match this deal anywhere else then it should be voted hot.
#36
Don't suppose anyone does PAYG tarrifs with free browsing, do they?
#37
I cant find that on their website at all..
Called them up & they said its not there????
#38
I just called and had the same as some others: only for new customers

HOWEVER!

2 mins after the call ended I got the following text:

From : 808900010
You are in control. Your phone has full access to the internet. To apply the Content Control bar contact Customer Services

Anyone else had this? Not got time to call them back right now but will do later but if anyone else has got this and calls them in the mean time let us know what happened!
#39
Whats browing is that like browsing!
#40
I mean they do Internet Browsing but charge 7.50 extra for all plans. :@
