If you're wondering, £15 gets you 3gigs of data that have to be used within 30 days.
#2
Great deal!
#3
I'd be happier if the credit didn't run out after 30 days. I doubt I'd use the full quota in a month. Good deal for someone, but not for me.
#4
This is the "K3565 Refresh" and not the older version with no credit expiry.

And it comes with a £15 TopUp, which lasts for up to 30 days. Your USB Modem even comes with 3GB of data...
#5
It's unlockable,so you could use the credit then change to whichever network suited better
#6
How do you unlock them?
#7
anyone know of any PAYG dongles where the credit doesn't expire. I only want one for occasional use.

thanks

R.
#8
the k3565 is really a huawei e160 so free unlock calculators can be downloaded

Is there an appreciable difference just in case I decide to go for the Quidco one?

This £15 deal is brilliant if you only anticipate one months usage and don't plan on topping up any more.

But if you are a light user and you pay £50 for the unexpiring one and use it occasionally per month over the course of a year, you'll still be better off with with the unexpiry one
Example:
30day expiry version: £15 purchase + 11 months @£15 = £180
Non expiry version: £50 purchase (incl. 1Gb) + £15 for another 1Gb usage = £65

The price of the non expiry versin is only going to increase as they become more scarce.

thanks poster i would definately get the non expiry as i would be an occassional user who would not use up the monthly allowance in 1 month. Hate the fact that i am being dictated to use it all in 1 month in the 1st place.

Differences are the new model, the k3570,is slimmer, doesn't have a memory card slot or a usb cable and it is a zte model so not so easily unlocked, but it is compatable with windows 7 whereas the k3565 can have issues working with windows 7 as its pretty old

I too would like to find one where the credit does not expire.

Am just about to cancel my 5gb for £7.50 a month with three, cos I only use it once or twice a year.

Don't want to cancel cos I know 5gig for 7.50 a month is a good deal, but just don't use it enough!
#21
VOTED COLD! why are you paying £15 for 1 months internet when you can get o2 mobile broadband for £5 a month and virgin home broadband for £5 a month. Also why does anyone think its acceptable to pay for a dongle when you can get them free when purchasing a 12 month contract. Home broadband offer free modems & routers. Most mobile phones have modems inside them so you could simply connect it to your laptop with a USB cable!

thanks, this looks like the ideal solution. Why are people still paying £50 for a non expiring dongle? Are there any advantages to one of those?

It starts from when you access a normal web page

I can vouch for the old non expiring sim/dongle has been a life saver on the road with work as i use very infrequently.

On a side note I am guessing you can buy a sim and put the sim in to the newer (possibly faster) dongles that may come up cheaper in the future, can anyone confirm the newer dongles get you a faster download or it is mainly tied to the network /sim?

You can check the maximum speed allowed by the dongle (most of the older ones only allows upto 3.6mbps while some of the newer ones goes upto 7.2 as well). It also depends maximum speed provided by network provider usually depending on location. So to answer to your question, you can use your SIM in a newer faster dongle.

I thought they could find out of you were tethering.

I have a one month rolling contract £15 a month so can cancel with 30 days notice.

I wouldn't sign for 12 months to get a free dongle I paid £4.99 for mine.

My provider is 3 because out in the sticks they provide a good 3G signal.

I tried T Mobile dongle and 02 Mobile dongle but in my area they are only 2G coverage.

only 17 left, gonna be expired very soon
#29
Are these 3.6 or 7.2?
#30
Can this be used in Spain, or more specifically, Barcelona?
#31
Signal/speed of these in Central Scotland is cr*p...would'nt use this if they payed me...sorry!!
#32
Hi I am travelling to Portugal soon. Will it work over there? And will it be worth it or will the 15 credit get me nothing?
#33
It's 3.6 and can roam abroad but would be expensive, none left now though

How do i check speed cabability I have the Vodafone K3565 (Rebadged Huawei 160/E160G/E160X) from what I am led to believe
#36
It appears that when the 1GB on the sim is used all further topups will expire after 30 days. Unexpiring dongle may prove more useful in the long run.

Wouldn't accept anything upto £9.00. Had to go with the full asking price as you only get 3 goes at making an offer!

Thanks for pointing this out, been looking for a non-expiry sim.
