Maybe true for you but it is new to some people and it may help them out ;-)

3 mobile broadband still the best out there

It says 3 gig loaded then it says 1 gig when you read the specs, how much does it cost to put 3 gig on to this.

Not if you want one with non-expiring credit - Vodafone replaced this with an expiring model, so while the price for this is average its hard to gaurantee you get the non-expiring model.

15 quid for one gig, get mine off virgin for £5 a month for one gig, not sure a lot of these deals are good. Would have been good if it was cheaper for the usage.
#7
Are people missing the point that this doesn't expire after one month ?

then says...

"Expiry Date of Included Top Up 30 days from activation"

so a bit of a contradiction here, unless anyone else knows for certain if this is the version that doesn't expire, it's not a great deal...needs clarification before you buy this one...

Yep, that's the key thing about this deal. For light users, 3gb is just way too much to use within a month. 1gb will last me ages. I browse mostly on my desktop or via wifi on my netbook when possible. When I need to top up, I'll buy another sim card on ebay for £10.
#10
If you buy this and it's the 30-day version, simply take it back to Tesco for a refund for being a different product to the one advertised. I'm confident however, that it's the 270-day version because mine is and it said the same bumpf.
#11
I have an unlocked 3 dongle, so in theory i could buy one of these 10 quid cards off ebay and use that, it is the card that does not expire and not the version of dongle. Am i right to assume this.

Well done windhoek, been after one of these for a while- missed it last time as they sold out really quickly

They're going for silly prices on ebay.

Is there any way to get rid of the delivery charge of £5, sorry not noticed the free store collection, any way just ordered one, can cancel my virgin one now and only use this when i need to.

You can have it delivered to a store for free and then collect it. There's a sim delivery trick for getting free delivery, but I've never used it so I'm not sure what to do.

I also don't know the answer to your previous question.

This is a good deal. The non expiring bit is the key. I only use it with my netbook occasionally when away from home.
#16
Yep, as long as the expiry bit is correct, its a good deal. not sure how to tell when it arrives if it does indeed have the non expiry

Same here, wouldnt be able to tell until 30 days had passed...which may be a bit late to return to Tesco.
It may be wise to to take a screnshot of the specs on the Tesco website
#18
Sorry to say but these are the 3gb expiring versions, tesco haven't updated all of their specs.

I suppose people may be willing to take the chance, The one I received was the 3gb one, I think it's unlikely anyone will get the 1gb. I'd like to know if it's possible to unlock this dongle and fit a £10 sim in off ebay, has anyone done this?

What is the '3gb one anyway?
Is it that you get 3gb for a £15.00 top up that expires at the end of 30 days?

you can easily unlock this dongle buying a code. just write on ebay unlock code huawei
#24
I I've just had a thought, with this dongle already using a vodafone sim would it be possible to just swap the sim with a £10 sim off ebay without unlocking it?

Yes you could use this a £10 vodafone sim card in your unlocked three dongle. All you need to do is change your settings so your software connects with vodafone instead of Three. Yes its is the SIM card which is tied to the service not the dongle.
#28
tesco instore have a 3 dongle, the e1550,it's £19.97 but if you buy a £10 top up you get it for £9.97 making the total £19.97 for dongle and 1 month 1gb use on a bundle,

after that unlock it and use whichever network you like

Thanks, will order one off ebay then and return the tesco one. I wish they had put the facts correctly on the site.

A quick question then guys, assume i buy a card without expiry, does that mean any credit i put on in future is the same and will not expire or is it just the original credit on there that does not expire

all top ups will not expire.
#32
Thanks, gone for the ebay card then
#33
Mine arrived today after I ordered it yesterday- it is the revised version from what I can read on the box, not the non expiring type. Mine has K3565 Refresh on the side label and doesn't have the '£15 top up' sticker on the front.

Alas I will be taking it into Tescos tomerrow for a refund. Don't bother, it's just misdescribed on the Tescos site
#34
black mac has right i checked box on shelf at tesco and it has not sticker usually older ones had £15 top up sticker
