Where does it mention Spotify/NOW TV/Sky Sports?
I wonder if you can tether?

It's detailed on the Vodafone site. They've just launched the Red Entertainment packages. And tethering is allowed, I checked as I need it!

Yes, I'm on chat and she said:

"With Vodafone you can use your whole data allowance for tethering."

I appreciate that the deal on the Vodafone site shows the Spotify/NOW TV/Sky Sports but that doesn't guarantee that affiliates will offer it.

Me: Great. Are they all only available on the phone? Or can I use a Chromecast to watch on my TV?
Vodafone: You can enjoy the services on any device like your PC, laptop, phone, TV etc

"The NOW TV Entertainment Pass gives you unlimited access to 11 of the most popular pay TV entertainment channels in the UK. Channels include; Sky Atlantic, Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Arts 1, Gold, MTV, Fox, ITV Encore, Nat Geo Wild and Comedy Central (ABC Studios box sets only).

Spotify is the world’s most popular music streaming app. And you can enjoy up to 24 months of Spotify Premium for free with your Vodafone contract.

Vodafone lets you enjoy more Premier League action than any other mobile network with Sky Sports Mobile TV. Sky Sports Mobile TV gives you unlimited access to Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports News HQ channels on your mobile device.!

So worth checking if Sky Sports Mobile TV can be viewed away from a TV with Chromecast or Roku etc.
Added. No Chromecast support for Sports but maybe for NOW TV Entertainment!

If you enjoy being billed incorrectly, lied to and generally messed about at every opportunity by all means go with Vodafone.

If you'd prefer none of these experiences look elsewhere for a sim provider.

You're right on the market here - I bought the same deal this time last year. I spent many an unhappy hour on the phone trying to get Vodafone to cough up the movie pass/Netflix/Spotify etc, but the mobiles.co.uk deal doesn't include it.

I managed to get this after threatening to leave for £18.50pm with 22gb tethering data and free Spotify

Just in time as my last cashback deal is ending. Basically getting Spotify with a free 16gb phone package.

I got the 20gb deal via mobiles and it never mentioned Spotify. However I did indeed get it

Well, I've edited the thread title just in case. I've ordered and if the free Spotify doesn't apply once it arrives I'll cancel (as it's a deal breaker for me). My order confirmation does state that its the 'Red Entertainment' contract so it would be a bit odd if it came without it.

Voted cold by cashback haters?
Good deal, should be hot. Heat added.

How do you get one of these deals if you're already with Vodafone? Have to change to another network on PAYG temporarily?

My order confirmation does state that its the 'Red Entertainment' contract so it would be a bit odd if it came without it.
As it doesn't state it comes with it on their webpage and it would be an obvious selling point I wouldn't assume anything especially as someone else already said in this thread that they bought a similar deal last year and it didn't come with the extras.
The carriers do like to have some exclusives I presume and if you buy from an affiliate they have to pay them a fee so that's a good reason not to offer it.
I'd check with mobiles.co.uk rather than guess or assume.

Found this. Now, it doesn't state the new 'Red Entertainment' package yet but, to me it suggests that they go with the standard Voda offering. Plus, the poster above said he got it when it wasn't specified. Anyway, I'll see what happens when I get mine and report back. https://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-mobile-phones-prices#read-more

It definitely includes it because the carphone warehouse offer the same tariffs without the cash back and it includes roaming in 40 countries same as feel at home from 3 and EE's offering. It also includes the choice of entertainment packages. Cpw is mobiles.co.uk parent company

I use Three feel at home when on holiday, and sometimes it is painfully slow, because you dont connect at 4g speeds whilst roaming.
The new voda tarrifs allow full 4g connectivity whilst roaming (within their specified roaming countries) which could easily tempt me away from Three.

The Vodafone sim only tariffs sold by mobiles.co.uk include everything the same as the ones sold directly by Vodafone.

Here are some screenshots of my tariff and offers I posted on a similar deal last week.

Shows £22 per month for me and £11.99 after cashback

combining this with the sky swap 24 (phone only) on s8 seems to make an alright deal, £36 pm.

OK, SIM came today and everything is there. Got a text immediately with a link to the entertainment offers and account was validated as eligible.

Thanks for the clarification and I am tempted just haven't used Spotify Premium yet so don't know if I will rate it as much as Napster.

I'm baffled how cold this is. £9.99 a month will cover Spotify and this had 16gb data and calls/textes too. Don't care what badge is on the Sim. I guess it's that simple then, get some out in phone and choose entertainment pack?

Yes, seconds after I put the SIM in I got the text with the link in to activate whichever freebie I wanted.
The deal was a no brainer for me. I was already spending £5 a month on Spotify (student rate, through the NUS membership deal posted on here a while back) so once that's cancelled effectively I'm paying a fiver a month for 12 months on the SIM (in fact, less that £4 after TCB). Also, the global roaming is great for me, 5 of us staying in Italy for 11 days in the summer in an apartment which has no WiFi but great 4G reception. I'll be the hot-spot... Oh, and with regard to cold votes, it doesn't bother me one jot. If the post helps one person then that's my work done.

Thanks OP, I went for this. Just to confirm it does come with the entertainment pack, received a text about it when I put the sim card in.

When you use the entertainment pack does the data involved come out of your monthly allowance?
Or, because it is an add on, is the data free?

It's not free. It comes off your allowance

Best thing about Vodafone is the speed in london compared to o2. I got 87mb download speed. Compared to to 60 on o2

Did a quick speed test this morning. Admittedly in a city centre but, quite impressed... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/2805082619

Seems to be £8.50 pcm for the 16GB Red Entertainment package now and £10.50 for 20GB; both via redemption.
Will order in the next 24 hours as have been trailing Spotify Premium and prefer it to Napster.
So I'll save £1.50 pcm on my Music subscription and get a free phone contract.
Nice one OP. :)

Drat. That's £18 extra I'm paying for being too eager! No worries, win some, lose some!

like you I ordered at £9.99. I emailed mobiles.co.uk and they gave me the additonal £18 cashback as it was within the first 14 days of taking the contract out.

Yep, they're reducing mine down to the £8.50 too, very prompt and helpful reply for a Sunday afternoon.
I've just worked out, after deducting my student Spotify fee which I'm saving, and the £15.15 TCB, I'm effectively paying a nett figure of £2.25 per month for 12 months...
